It's always my pleasure to participate in this amazing contest with the theme National or International Awareness Day.
In today's post i will be discussing about International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women by answering the contest questions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is a day that was set by women right activist's to observe November 25th as the day against gender based violence.
It's a day selected to honour the three political activists mirabal sisters from the domican republic who were murdered by the order of the country ruler in 1960
HOW DO YOU OR YOUR COUNTRY OR ORGANIZATION CELEBRATE THE DAY?
In my country Nigeria we celebrate International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women by declaring November 25th a public holiday in the whole country, and work school and even banks will not open that particular day.
Though the country will not throw a party or anything that day to celebrate it, but by declaring that day a national public holiday, it shows we observed and respect that particular day.
WHAT IMPACT DOES YOUR COUNTRY OR COMMUNITY GAIN DURING AND AFTER THE COMMEMORATION?
The Commemoration day international day for the Elimination of Violence against women is a very important day not only to my country, but all the whole world.
It's a day that always have huge impact in my country to the point that they will declear that day a national public holiday so that everyone will observed and celebrate the day.
WHAT ISSUE OR CONCERN WILL YOU RECOMMEND TO BE COMMEMORATED THIS WEEK AND ON WHAT DATE?
In my country Nigeria, we launch a new Naira notes this months, so i would like to recommend 23rd November to be Commemorated as Nigeria Currency Day, because it was a day that our president **Muhammadu Buhari launch the newly redesign naira notes in Nigeria.
