The diary game 9/09/2021. Health talk on drug addiction and complications

Woke up this morning at 6:00am,did some laundry and morning duties, took bath and ate breakfast at 7:30 and left for work and by 8:00am i was at Job site were i checked on my patients and administered thier morning medications there after prepared materials and equipments together with my colleagues and by 9am we left for bambili for health campaign and education on drug abuse and addiction closed from there and retired back to the house this evening at 4pm

Together with a health team from New Hope medical foundation of Addiction and Recreation Bamenda when to the Bambili community to sensitizing and giving health education on drug addiction ans its complications
A drug is a medicine or a substance which has physiological effects wheb ingested into the body
Drug abuse is the use of illegal drugs or use of over the counter drugs for porposes other than those there are meant to be use for.
Addiction is an Inability to stop using a substance or engaging in a behavior even though it is causing psychological or physical harm.
Drug addiction is or can be difine as a relasping disorder characterized by compulsive drug seeking or use despite its harmful consequences n long lasting changes.
Examples of drugs people mostly abuse and are addicted to are:
Alcohol, Opioids, Marijuana, cocaine, methadone,amphetamines,glue,gum tobacco etc
some of the complications that can arise from excessive drug consumption are:
diseases such as Liver cancer,cancer,liver failure,cadiac arest, heart failure,kidneys malfunction or failure etc
so we went out today sensitizing the people of bambili community about the dissavantages of drugs abuse and addiction telling the we all need to join hands together in helping our brothers and sisters the society who victims of such cases by bringing then to rehabilitation center for treatment, guidance n counseling on how better thier lives and fully actively fit their selves into the society with a normal life style again.
