Introduction

Dear Diary, it's with utmost excitement and joy that I want to inform you about how my day Sunday 21/07/24 went. Usually, my Sundays are usually busy from waking up early in the morning for service and sometimes attending meetings. Gratefully, today wasn't as stressful as other Sundays.

Morning Period

---

I usually wake up by 5:30 every Sunday in order to meet up with workers meeting by 7am. Today, I woke up 18 minutes past 6am. I didn't want to attend the workers' meeting, I was just lying on the bed contemplating if I should go to church or not. I finally stood up, woke up my husband asked if he wasn't going to church. Usually, I wake everyone up from sleep. Let's say, I'm the "timekeeper" in my home. If I don't wake up, no one does.

I went to boil water for bathing, woke the children to brush their teeth, brushed mine and went back to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for them before they bathed. With all of that, we finally left the house for church. We didn't meet the workers' meeting, the pastor was giving an announcement that was a few minutes to 8am.

That was followed immediately by Sunday school, where the topic was perilous times. The memory verse was taken from the book of II Timothy 3:1 and the passage was read from verse 1-5. The perilous times are dangerous times. Our teacher emphasised that the time we are in is perilous times, while he mentioned the different characteristics of the time.

It was Youths Sunday, that's why I never wanted to be as early as I used to. That's because the youths anchor everything as we married people rest and be served by them.

Meanwhile, the youths made it an "Old School Sunday." They were all dressed in the 1990s way. It was a very fun and delightful Sunday. I had no choice than to join them in praising God.

Being part of the youth service was a talk show by the youths. The topic was "Perfection in the Christian Context: What does the Bible say?" Few youths were selected to anchor the moment. In the end, it was established that perfection can be attained because God himself is a perfect God.

Afternoon Period

However, the service came to an end. Without wasting time and exchanging pleasantries as usual, I headed home because I was hungry. It was actually an awesome moment in God's presence.

On our way home, I captured some moments while having our ride home. The most amazing was the capturing of a major landmark in my city, the Ring Road water fountain. Though the fountain wasn't running today, it is my children's favourite spot whenever we pass along the road.

We got home and I went to the kitchen to prepare food. I prepared the food and ate it in a hurry and even forgot to capture the food. After that, I went to get some rest. It was a long while since I came back from church so early without having to attend any event, so I needed to sleep to get myself freshened up.

I woke up shortly after I rested. My children were asleep too. I remember I needed to mop the floor, but since they were playing, I decided to go and sleep. I woke up and quickly mopped the floor before they woke up. Not just that, I also checked my mushrooms progress, I am a mushroom farmer. I noticed that the mushrooms has started growing, so much excitement for me. Besides, it was sunny day, I used the opportunity to dry our wet clothes outside.

Evening Period

After mopping, I felt a bit hungry again. I remember my mother-in-law sent me some African pears yesterday. I decided to snack on that and maybe use it as my dinner as I hardly eat below 6pm.

It was already past 5pm, it was time for the "House fellowship." For weeks, we hadn't had a fellowship because I hadn't been around due to other engagements. So, I woke the children and gathered them for the fellowship as my husband had gone out. Instead of today's topic, I decided to study last Sunday's lesson, which was captivating to me.

The fellowship was just for 45 minutes. From there, I decided to treat my hair since I have African virgin hair on. From there, the children and I sat outside the balcony to gist and had a nice family time while they ate their food. When it got dark, we went inside.

From there, I retired. I got on the couch in the company of my children to update my diary about my day. How was your Sunday, my friends? I hope you enjoyed your day?
