The Dairy Game: Cooking our local food Afang soup for a course mate [14/4/2025].

Good day steemians trust your day is going well, welcome back to my blog am really excited sharing yesterday's event with this great steemians and I hope you'll really enjoy my write up,so what are we waiting for let's head down to it!!!

One of my course mate really wanted to try out one of our local soup so I happen to see the leaf at the market the previous day while I went to buy some provisions, I just cease the opportunity to get the necessary ingredients for the soup and since it was already in the evening and I was tired from what I was doing I decided to prepare it yesterday.

I woke up early yesterday but stayed in bed pressing my phone,was actually reading though because I had classes by 10am and test by 12pm. So I had already decided to prepare the soup when am back, only for me to receive a call from one of my customers that she wanted to come make her hair after classes. Checking the time I'll be coming back to finish making the hair before I'll cook there wouldn't be much time left to do that,so I just got up from bed to start preparing the food I sat down to pick the leaf cut it and pound it, I proceeded to cut the periwinkle and steam the meat.

Few minutes later I was done,with the preparation of the ingredients and then cooked the soup. I really thought it would be a big deal and take my time a lot since it's been a while I prepared the soup,but I was actually surprised I was able to finish it on time to still meet up for classes. Well maybe because I was in a hurry for classes so that boosted my speed,and I still got everything, you know when you're in a hurry you tend to forget somethings and might remember them later but I was just glad I was able to pull in off without forgetting any ingredients. By the time I had finished and checked the time it was already some minutes to ten and I couldn't eat because I didn't have enough time left. I decided to just make breakfast of bread with tea since I couldn't go hungry plus it'll be be much faster than settling down to enjoy my soup. After eating I jumped into the bathroom did my business as fast as I could, dressed up and left for school.

The class ended earlier than expected so I just headed straight back home rest a little while before the girl came to make her hair. Thank goodness I returned on time because by the time I was through I had two other customers to work on, while on the last one my course mate came for the goodies I quickly warmed it up and just packaged it and gave to them.

When I was through with everything I stroll down to a friend's house to chill out and discuss random stuffs, later in that evening I went home and finally had enough time to settle down,take my time to savour my delicious soup because why not it's been a while I actually ate the soup. I must say it really went down well. Since I prepared it already in the morning I just heat up the soup, made eba with hot water and enjoyed my dinner.
