The Dairy Game: A Day for Practicals 14/02/2024

Hello Steemians from the community I hope you are all enjoying this valentine’s day for my day was just as usual.

It all started with a bright sunny dayat the center of Cameroon in the city call Yaounde. I am teaching as a part-time job and my morning was as follows:

I got up very early in the morning, did my morning meditations, brushed my teeth, took my bath and prepared my lessons for the day. That done, I went to take a taxi. But as usual, the traffic was not lacking. Fortunately, I could be on time on the school campus. I teach chemistry and I started with the lowersixth students. We started with the topic “Phase equilibrium” (I will not go into the details of the topic, some will not actually get the point).

After the lower sixth students, I went to form three. There I brought them to the laboratory and we continued with the topic acid base and salts. I showed them the different types of acids and bases we have in the laboratory and how to identify them.

After that, it was the first break and I stayed in the laboratory to prepare for the form four students. The solutions I was preparing were still on acids and bases but this time it was for titration to determine the concentration of the acid (hydrochloric acid in this our case) and the base (sodium carbonate) using a phenolpthalein indicator.

Immediately as the break was over, they came in the laboratory and joined me. They are always happy when they are in the lab.

It was already the afternoon and the end of long break when I took over and continued with the form five students. With them, I finished with organic chemistry and concluded my teaching day.

I immediately went back home.

In the evening, I took a short rest and went out to look for what to eat. Since morning, I was starving.

After eating, I started writing my post. And that is how my day was. I particularly enjoyed the smile on the student’s faces and because of that, I was happy.
