Special greetings to all the members of this incredible platform. Hope everyone is doing great . I am happy being here again to share my dairy of Saturday 04/09/2021 with you all
I woke up on this day at 5:30am and prepared myself for morning mass. I got to church at about 6:15am when divine office was still ongoing and shortly after we were done, mass started and it went on for about an hour .
When i came back home, I cleaned the house and heated the food we had prepared the previous day; garri and okru and we ate together
This was a very one special because it was the birthday of a friend’s niece. He is a priest (called Father Paul) and although his brother’s child happens to be a girl, she was named after him “Mercy Paul” . This means the child is also very special to him. In this regard, he ordered a birthday cake for her which we began decorating at about 11:am since we had baked already the previous day . We used pink and gold colors in decorating which matched her birthday dress as well.
When we were done, we left the house for the birthday, when we were at mile 18 junction at Bomaka, we called father Paul who picked us up from the junction to the birthday venue. When we got there, everything was put in place and the occasion started with the celebration of the holy mass by father Paul. I was amazed because it was my first time experiencing such but then i was happy to witness it too, during the mass, the priest prayed particularly for the life of Bby Mercy who turned one, he prayed for long life full of happiness and good health for her. I learnt something very important about this which is to always prioritize the spiritual aspect in every thing i do rather than focus on the material part first.
Holy Mass
Mass ended at about 4pm and the program continued with singing of the birthday song followed by special wishes from her beloved parents, later on we on to cutting of the birthday cake, photographs and reception followed after pictures were taken Two special dishes were prepared; fried rice and chicken and water fufu and eru.
We left from the occasion and went back home at about 6pm with the help of father who dropped us off . Thanks for reading through
Kind Regards
