Accept warm greetings steem family, I hope everyone is doing ok in their respective areas. I am glad to be here again to share another session of my dairy for Saturday 11/9/2021.
I woke up on Saturday at about 3:am after sleeping very late the previous night. This was due to the fact that i was given an order to supply 50 packs containing chicken, meat pie, boiled egg, fried ground nuts and an apple each. This order came in very late on Friday and i didn’t want to accept it because one of our choir members who died three weeks ago had to be laid to rest on that same yesterday and i had to be there. The customer however refused and pleaded that she had no other person to do it except me so i had to reconsider and accept the order.
When i woke up at that time, I immediately removed the chicken I had seasoned in the night and kept in the freezer for it to defrost while i mix dough for meat pie, when i was done, i pleaded with my cousin to help me roll out the dough while i fry and arrange the groundnut in small sachets . After frying that, I arranged another fireside which I used in boiling the eggs and the other one was used in frying the chicken.
By 10am, i was done with all of this and so i started putting them in packs with the help of one of my neighbors, I also took out a few of them and took pictures while the packaging went on
By 11:am, we were done with all of that so I left the house to deliver the packs which stressed a lot me a lot too because she had said the event was supposed to be at CBC field so I thought it was the one at mile 3 but on going there I saw no one, I called and called to no avail and i decided to go to the CBC field at finance after waiting for a while to no avail, i finally went there and behold that is where the event was happening so I gave them and left, i was lucky to have found a bike man who was patient and understanding too but then I was already angry because the delay affected the funeral mass program too i had to attend.
I finally arrived at the church premise at about 1.pm due to the delay when burial was already going on, the girl who had died was a very active choir member who wouldn’t hesitate to show up at any other persons event on time so i felt really bad being late
Since she was a dedicated member of the choir, we wore our official green Tshirts and skirts accompanied with the batch of our patron saint; Saint Joseph on our chest. After the prayers and songs, we laid the wreath that the choir got for her and the individual candles from members on her grave. Later on, the choir members went to her place for reception.
I was so tired at this point with all the work from the previous night up to that moment and i needed to go home and rest. When i got home, there were still some things to be cleaned so i hurriedly did that .
After that i took my phone to check my messages since I had been busy all through, I realized that my customer had sent me some additional money and i was surprised because she had paid everything already so I decided to call her and find out what it was, she picked up and said it’s no mistake, that they sent it to appreciate the wonderful service despite the very short notice. She kept on thanking me and said they all appreciated the items in the packs. I was so happy hearing this and i was shocked also because it’s not a very common practice this way.
Later on, I went in to my room and slept after eating rice and groundnut soup that i had prepared the previous day. That is how my day went
