I am Kemie Christopher with username @Kemie on Steemit.I am a 42-years old Cameroon,born and raised in Kedjom-Keku village Tubah-Sub-Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.I am a grass root environmentalist and the CEO of Kedjom-Keku Conservation Association For Sustainable Development (Kedjom-Keku CASUD).CASUD is a civil society organization with head Quarters in Kedjom-Keku village, responsible for the conservation and protection of the rich biodiversity of fauna and flora in Kedjom-Keku forest and in the Bamenda high land forest in general.I am an environmental educator with deep passion for the environment and the forest.I envisage a carbon free community and an environmental friendly society where by humans co-exist with Nature and biodiversity.My love for Nature motivates me to continually advocate for sustainable livelihood strategy for a better adaptation to Climate change and Global warming which has becom one of the human plague in recent time.

       FAMILY BACKGROUND  

I am the 6th among 11 siblings to Mr Bumenang Daniel and Mrs Helen Vugheh of Kedjom-Keku village We are 6 boys and 5girls.Infact We are a complete football team,all of us are alive and kicking.Our father passed away in 2019 at the age of 84years old.Our mother is still with us.My dad was a peasant farmer and a hunter.He always takes me to the farm and to the forest to hunt.I grew all my life around him and that is how I developed the love for the environment and the forest.I eventually became a hunter but had to resign in 2010 after I realized that the population of animals in Kedjom-Keku forest are in a decline.I then decided to join the conservation society where I founded the conservation association (CASUD).I am married to Madam Seraphine Nyemkuna and God has blessed us with 4 children-Rachel, Will,Helen and Junior Chris.I love my family and I love teaching children about the environment because I believe the young ones still have a clean mind and will easily accept the Environmental Gospel I am prreaching.

        EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND 
                    HOBBIES

I did my primary school education at ST Bernard Catholic school Kedjom-Keku where I graduated with a First School Leaving (FSLC)and a Religious certificate in 1997.The years of my education foundation at ST Bernard Catholic school were full of unforgotten memories.Here,the fear of the Lord was our motto.As catholic school pupils,you were it was a responsibility to be Abasadors of Jesus Christ.Fighting was not allowed, lies and stealing was prohibited.Infact all was about being a child of God Attending mass on Thursday morning and on Sundays was compulsory even if you were not a Catholic christian.Attending school here shaped my christian life and I decided to pursue the Catholic doctrine,were I received the sacrament of Baptism, First Holy Communion,the sacrament of Confirmation,and finally the sacrament of Marriage.
I went further to study at Government Secondary school Kedjom-Keku (GSS) today GHS Kedjom-Keku,were I graduated with the Ordinary level certificate (O/L) in 2002.I then moved to the Bamenda city where I studied sciences at GBHS Bamenda.I graduated in 2004 obtaining the Advance Level certificate in biology and chemistry.I decided to re-seat the A/L certificate in CAST Bambili during the 2004/2005 session in order to improve my grades.This decision gave me a good mastery of sciences.I thank my parents for this privilege.After graduating from CAST Bambili,I decided to settle down and take care of my family.I embraced farming and business which have permitted me to be able to educate and feed my children.Hustling have given me a good knowledge and experience about life and I am able to face and provide solutions to most of life challenges that comes my way.
Football and culture are my best hobbies.I love composing traditional music, playing traditional instruments and also listening to reggae music.My culture which is my identity is what I will love to preserve and conserve.

      HOW AND WHY I JOINED STEEMIT

Networking through for the environment gave me the opportunity to partner with organizations working for the environment like the Greens,La L'iberte Arts Group, Y'G etc.The Greens have motivated and encourage me to join Steemit.I then realized the advantage of belonging to such a platform,since I will have the opportunity to share with a broader udience my view about the environment and also meet those with similar objectives towards planet Earth.
My content on Steemit shall focus on my life style in particular, Environmental activities carried out by my organization,advocacy towards Climate change and Global Warming and innovative ideas towards Climate action,
for sustainable development goals to be attain inorder to improve on the Livelihoods of my community members.
