WORLD PEACE DAY 2021: 21/09/2021

Hello steemians....Today is the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WORLD PEACE and everyone around is talking about it and giving their own opinions about peace and love.
I have really learnt a lot recently and I think peace is something we all need in lives daily.
I added a workshop which was organized by DANCE FOR DEVELOPMENT and DEFY HATE NOW on Saturday 18th September 2021 and I went together with @laurelatang.
The workshop was supposed to hold today but because of the ghost town it was held on that day...coupled with a lot of talks and sketches and open discussions I learnt a lot about peace and how to help bring it in the very little ways.

They talked about HATE SPEECH
HATE SPEECH is the things you say that cause violence.
Hate speech would lead to violence and miscommunication.
Basic hate speech done unconsciously such as our reactions to bad weather,bad roads etc
Hate speech can be overcomed by judging our actions/words by ourselves
By contributing in healthy global communication
By putting ourselves in ones shoe before over reacting
By always verifying information and words before we say them.
By always trying to watch our tone towards the other.

Also I got to understand somethings about CONFLICT...Being that conflict is a rational dispute between two or more persons.
We can work together to avoid conflict by..Avoiding it
Defeating it
Collaborating with one another
Compromising
And accepting to step back when u think it’s getting bad instead of adding more fire 🔥
Most at times the best way to resolve conflict is COMMUNICATION.
Also understood some HUMANITARIAN PRINCIPLES Like HUMANITARIAN OUTREACH,
NEUTRALITY ,INDEPENDENCE,VOLUNTARY SERVICE,UNITY.
Apart from all what I jotted down and understood from this peace workshop...I was most impressed with the fact that everyone has a part to play in peace building especially the ARTS
ARTIST all over the world 🌎 be it Models,musicians,photographers and videographers have a lot to play in peace building.
Most information can be sent out through art work and creative skills.

ON THIS WORLD PEACE DAY ..I decided to write a quote about what I think is all about and I feel that peace should come from within.
It should start from the little ways we buy at the store..we talk to our neighbors..we react when offended and how we treat one another.
Peace should start from within and from the little things..It’s always said that CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.

Many other models and artist in the industry had a message to pass out to the public today. Everyone saying it as they see in their own direction ...ALL I KNOW IS PEACE IS A GREAT THING AND IT IS WHAT WE NEED 🙏🙏🙏
