The phrase "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" is a metaphor. Apples symbolize healthy and organic food and if we eat some organic fruits and vegetables every day, we will definitely feel a significant improvement in our health and well-being. So this phrase, in my opinion, is that when we eat healthy food, our health will improve and we will not need a doctor. This is half true, but at least 2 times a year we have to go to the doctor and do all the basic tests to make sure that we are all right because we can feel great and not even know that we are sick. Therefore, regular medical examinations are the best way to make sure of our health. Doing sports, yoga and any other physical activity will also have a very good effect on our health and well-being.
I've always loved sports. Running and football occupy the vast majority of my free time. I run a lot and try to lead a healthy lifestyle, which sometimes fails because there is a desire for fast food. For my health after 2 years I also quit smoking and I recommend it to everyone! No more coughing, no more pain in your lungs, and you're breathing a hundred times better. There are also many other benefits of such a lifestyle and giving up certain things. I feel like I have more strength than ever. I am also more resilient and my condition has changed a lot.
I think everyone can get involved and change their life for the better. If we really want to do this, then with a strong will and stubbornness, we will be able to do it. Of course, someone's support and help in this will also help us a lot.
For starters, you can start with something as small as limiting fast food to 2 burgers a week and eventually give up altogether. You can start exercising and running, for example, 2-3 times a week to run some distance and gradually increase it.
