Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W5 | My Parents, My Heroes

Parents are the best superhero ever, because they are the ones who gave us life, so everything we have is because they gave birth to us.
They show very strong love for their children and they provide for them even though it costs them things.

In your words explain what you understand by parenthood

Parenthood is the state of being parents, a mother and father, to child(ren). It is the act of raising kids and this involves teaching, feeding, caring well for them.
I think that parenting is a happy thing especially when the children are cooperating and submitting to their parents.

When children are still little it is easy to give them instructions and they listen but parents of teenagers know that this is a serious stage and they do their best to bring up the child in ways that God approves.

Children are a gift from the creator and parents keep this in mind and assign great values to their children.

Tell us about your heroes (Parents)(for example what you usually do together, their importance to you)

My parents were very important to me, my father was my real hero when he was alive, because he will always defend us when we are facing any injustice, people knew him as a strong person and thus were afraid to harm us.

And later he got sick with diabetes and had to eat his own special meals that were a little not normal for me, but each time he cooked it he would call me and my other siblings to join him and we enjoyed the meal together however haha.

Then my mother was also a very hardworker, most times when my father had to travel because of his work as a health practitioner, my mother would stand in as the breadwinner, providing food and taking care of the household. Most times my father would stay up to months, up to 6 months without being home but we always had our mother with us, then she had a little shop so when we run out of provisions she always provided it, and most times she was the one who paid our fees, bought us books and other things.

What are the major roles of parents to you?

The roles of parents should be to:

• Teach their children
• Set good examples for them
• Provide food, shelter and clothing
• Protect the children from harm
• Give them financial support
• Take care of their health and provide medicines when they are sick.

The overall role of the parents is to train up the child in a good way and all the above points are involved.

Do you see Parenthood as a Scam?

No way! I do not in any way see parenthood as scam. This is because parenthood gives innocent children the chance to be good adults who are very responsible.
Also parenthood is a joyfully thing because when parents see the children they worked with God to train being responsible, they feel very happy. And those children will grow to also care for he parents when they do grow old.

Parenthood is very interesting and a very good and lifesaving work. It is important that we in trunk show love, respect and care for our parents.
