Hello once again, I'm here with my diary of Saturday the 18th of May 2024. It was a fun filled though stressful day, hope you read and be blessed.
I woke up this morning at 6:30am after having slept at 4:30am and immediate I opened my eyes I thanked God for a new day and rushed to the bath to freshen up and clean the stuff we came back from the traditional wedding with. We still had about 18 hours in the hotel room. While I was cleaning, papa was reading the bible and meditating.
When I had finished cleaning the stuff I came out and met papa already praying so I joined him in prayer and we journeyed for about an hour together in prayer. When the session was over he went to the bath too to freshen up. While he freshened up I packed his stuff and put his dresses ready for the court wedding. The time was already 9am and I hadn't yet paid for our travel tickets back.
So we had a pastor around the park and I forwarded him the money for the tickets which he did pay for them. Meanwhile, a car came to get papa to the Gabonese embassy where the civil wedding would take place. I couldn't go with him since I was waiting for the pastor with the tickets and for him to collect his clothes too.
He finally came and got his stuff, freshened up and we together got a bike to the embassy. The sun was scorching and the road was busy since the 20th of May was at the corner. We got a bike for 1000frs to the embassy finally.
On my way to the Gabonese embassy
When we arrived at the embassy quarters in Yaoundé, Bastos. We saw many embassies and we kept using Google to locate the Gabon embassy because we knew not where it was. Finally we saw it and truly it was interesting. We got in and immediately we learnt that the wedding was already closing, so we waited out of the hall. After about 20mins they all came out and we saw how beautiful and handsome they were. Indeed marriage is a good thing and everyone should endeavor to marry.

When we finished getting pictures at the embassy we then had to head to the church immediately to fix stuff. So I was constantly with pastor Aquila who has more expertise in being a PA than I. We got a taxi to Avenue Kennedy and when we dropped there, we were tired and I was hungry k owing that I might not eat the whole day, we bought 2 energy drinks and it gave us a little stamina. We went to the church premises and fixed it into a marriage setting while waiting for the couple.

The wedding then began after they struggled to fix instruments and mics for a long time. At 3pm everything began and since majority of people were french speaking and the coordinator, pastor Aquila was english speaking, I needed to interpret what he was saying for everyone to understand.
So we began with praise, then worship then a brief exhortation and then the officiating minister, Prophet Colins came up for the solemnization of the wedding. He spoke so we'll about marriage and how the couple is to behave and immediately every place became tense and he began to make déclarations.
The marriage was officially over and they shared some snacks! O boy, the way I was famished I entered the thing like I was mad. I took a corner and ate it together with pastor Aquila. Then we finished and found our way back. Since our tickets were for 11pm, we had to look for a place to rest. So we left from there and while going back we got a taxi and stopped at a fast food where we drank kossam. While going back home, rains began to fall heavily so we
stopped at a place to wait for the rains to drop.
While the rains dropped, thank God that papa's sister in law was passing by with her car and that happens to be where we were going to rest. She carried us to the house and we kept our bags and changed. When we changed, we then visited other of his brothers who lived around.
My father making fun time in his brother's house and forcing me to snap him🤣
We arrived at one of his brother's houses and daddy saw the kids and immediately switched to fun time. He made so much fun that all the house was in flames of laughter. To the point of forcing me to snap him as he sat on the chair. We finished from there and bought bread for the other houses where we went.
When we finished, we went back to the house that hosted us and began to chat with his brother, it was indeed an instructive session. Then 11pm arrived and we headed to the park to get our travelling. The journey back was so stressful because the 70seater was so uncomfortable but thank God we arrived back Bangangté at 5:40am. That's how my Saturday went and I prepared immediately for the service that morning. Thank you for reading and God bless you.
