Hi everyone, am still that your friend @mattmillion. How are you guys doing and hope you all are still enjoying your experience on steemit?. These experiences which I have missed for the long period I was not active on the steemit platform because of my faulty phone has been my greatest regret. But thank God it's all over now, my phone is back and it's my pleasure to once again share my experiences on the 30th of November as I witnessed my friend said I do with the love of his life.
It was Saturday, I wasn't bordered waking up early since I will not be going to work. Although a lot of activities and engagements were here and there for me that Saturday to attend, still I decided to give myself some rest after a hectic week of work. One of the events that was needful I attend that weekend was the traditional and white wedding of one of my colleagues at my place of work which they planned for the both to happen the same date.
I was so stressed out at work during the week as a result, I couldn't attend the white wedding but rested until noon when we all headed to the Traditional marriage venue. We got to the venue around 5pm, the whole place was already filled up and the marriage ceremony has already begun. To the worries of everyone present, by this time, the groom and his bride have not reach the venue.
So all our colleagues gathered ourselves at a spot, gisting and drinking while waiting for the arrival of the celebrant. Some of the invitee got tired of waiting, and one after the other they began to go home. See the spirit of oneness displayed by all of us as we stood in for our own making sure that the marriage was colorful.
The couples have taken so much time at their lodge dressing, making up and taking some photograph. Calls from here and there, asking them to hurry to the venue before night covers.
It was around pass 6pm that the groom and his bride arrived at the venue. And immediately, the MC asked that the groom be ushered in. But we insisted that he should have some rest before going in to the venue.So we asked him to sit down and relax a bit. Then he sat down.
After about 20 minutes of rest, he was now ready to go in to the venue. So we all stood and were ready to dance him in. What a support and Cheer as we all stood our group strongly besides our own as joyfully danced him in.
Immediately after we have danced him in and some traditional right was done, I couldn't wait again for the marriage finish because of my distance. So I excused myself and headed home. By the time I got to the house, it was already pass 9pm. Feeling so tired, I just freshened up and retired to bed.
