Good day to all my steemit friends here @steemcameroon. How are you doing?, I trust you are having a great and wonderful day at work? Because over here, I'm having one of my best day at work (a stress free working day). This has brought so much happiness in me and has also reminded me of the exciting moments I had with my family at the village some weeks ago, where we all had a nice time eating and celebrating with ourselves at least for once forgetting the hardship in the country.
The truth still remains that the economic situation in the country has done nothing but taken away joy and happiness from every citizens exception of the political class. The prices of everything in the country that would have been a source of happiness and make life easier for the poor masses has all gone up to a point beyond the reach of majority of our people. But life is one, and we only live once that was why we took out time and celebrated ourselves as a family as I will be sharing with you all.
It was 2 days after we finished and had a successful burial memorial service of our father that we decided to merry and celebrate ourselves as a family, putting aside the hardship in the country. So that morning, I woke early as I could remember and prepared for a church service as it was a Sunday and we had a Thanksgiving service at the church for the success of our Father's burial memorial service.
After the church service, we returned home and rested for a while. Then I went out and killed the goat that was meant for the family celebration, while I called on my cousin brother to come and assist in the burning of the goat.
After burning the goat, we washed it very well then I butcher it and cut it into sizable pieces. Part of the goat meat was used in preparing pepper soup while we used the remaining to cook yam porridge. The whole food was prepared by my younger brother. When everything was ready and brought down, he began to share and serve to everyone.
My younger brother is a good cook, he prepared the yam porridge so well that it was very delicious. We all ate and asked for more as we did all that with joy and happiness. We bought crate of beer and malt to compliment the celebration. It was indeed a joyous one.
Oh my goodness, it was remarkable and exciting moment for me at the village, seeing all my family members eating and celebrating together. The bond that was created as a result of this has been massive as it gas unified every member of the family together and kept us in love.
