"No person was ever honored for what he recieved. Honor has been the reward for what he gave." Calvin Coolidge.
On this day, young persons were invited by Dance for Development to celebrate humanitarians as set of persons who support the human race when they need help.
The program started at 12 noon through the coordination of @peacemaker as event MC
A word of welcome from myself the founder of this organization then followed introducing the organization and giving words of appreciation to our guest. I equally introduced steem and a brief of how to become a member.
We then had talks on:
The impacts of Volunteering in the Community from Atigi Samuel of MANVOFCAM
What is Volunteering from Mimie of Draufishts
Green Volunteering and Steemit from @thegreens of the Greens
The principles of Humanitarians from OCHA and UNESCO
We then moved to the symbolic aspect 9f the day which was teaching the Choreography of Gratitude.
The event went through with young persons coming in at different intervals. In total we had 150 persons for the event qhich surpassed our initial target.
By the end of the event I recieved 15 young persons interested in joining steemit. Given we were out of time from the event ground, I registered their contacts and invited them to the upcoming Steem revival program in Bamenda on the 21st of August 2021 at 09:00AM Adjacent Express Union Building at Mile 4 Nkwen-Bamenda in the North West Region of Cameroon.
We are much greatful for your support to this program through the invitation post made on the link below.
Our objectives were attained;
