Well the day started really early as I got up at 7AM. I went straight to our office to do some mini commercial then I went to the park to pay my ticket so I could atleast have a good seat. When I arrived the park there wasn't so much que I guess many people don't travel in January. So I paid my ticket and left the agency.
By the time I left the agency I was very hungry so I went to a restaurant and got some food. I got ndole and friend plantains commonly called "dodo".
I left from there to the house did some small laundry then went for my friends wedding very briefly then to the park. I didn't even snap or eat the free food that was at the wedding.
On my ticket, there had indicated 3PM but I went there at 4:30PM and to my greatest surprise the park was still super empty. I was so angry because I had hurried to come catch up with the bus. I stayed at the park of close to 2 hours before we took off at about 6:30PM.
Finally we took off and our bus was the first to do so since it was "VIP". The driver drove well but at mile 5 Akum our bus got bad. It appears the batter had a problem.
Lucky enough another bus of same agency was coming from Yaounde so they exchanged the batteries. This took about an hour and we were off again.
The journey was smooth and if there is one thing I loved about the bus and trip was that I noticed it couldn't run above a particular speed limit. It was comfortable and nice to know that the bus must be driven responsibly so I slept off confidently.
I only woke up when we were in Yaounde and I could still see some beautiful pictures that captured the festive season look of the town.
When I got to my hotel I immediately slept and boom, I woke up at 10.
In all it was a great day and trip for me with mixed emotions.
