So I arrived Bamenda at about 8AM, took a bath then went to my friends place whose knock door was happening.
When I arrived their house, they were still washing dishes which I helped and we arranged the chairs, to wait for her inlaws. The inlaws came around 11AM and the program officially started.
When they came they were served with food precisely Achu and they ate and drank some palm wine. Then the occasion proper kick started.
The occasion started with an opening prayer, then introduction of her inlaws. We then moved to some speeches from the two families.
After the speeches, there was the proper commencement of the occasion and traditional rights. The traditional rights included sharing of plantains (raw), then palm oil and palm wine. This went on for about 1 hour.
After the rights had been performed, I went on to meet another friend whom we had a program to plan the year and our office space.
I later returned home at about 7PM and rested. In all it was a great day full with so many amazing memories. As I saw my childhood best friend get married.
