The Diary Game: 03-05-2022|| Celebrating my uncle..

The 3rd of may was my uncle's birthday. My aunt and her kids had planned him a surprise birthday party. Everything was set since we had placed orders for different meals and decor as well.

I finished my chores at home and then went to their place which is just about 5 minutes from my home.
When I got there, I met my aunt going about her duties as normal. It was a public holiday and we were lucky everyone we invited was free
My aunt asked me to go upstairs and be with the kids so my uncle doesn't suspect anything.
Few minutes after my arrival, his friends with whom my aunt had planned to take him out of the house arrived. They started their usual discussions of life on sea (since my uncle is a captain). We served them some food and they ate.
About an hour later, they successfully got my uncle out of the house.
We made calls for the service traité to bring the food and for the decor lady to come and start too.
In no time, everyone got to work with arrangements. We did that from 1 pm to about 3pm.
When everything was set, we called my uncle's friends to bring him back home.
We had trumpeters waiting for him at the front door. Once he opened the door, they started playing the birthday song with their trumpets .
I saw the surprise on his face, it was priceless. My aunt was so happy the plan worked.
He went upstairs to change and join us down in the living room for the ceremony to begin.
We ate and drank after the cake was cut and it was all jolly till the end.

At about 9pm, the party ended and most of the guests had left.
We started to clean up and wash the utilized utensils.
By 10pm, we decided to call it a night.
My mom and I, made out way back home since my dad had left earlier on.
At home, I made some Lipton green tea with honey and drank before going to bed.

The day was a great one no matter how stressful it was. I am glad I was a part of it all.
