The Diary Game - (10/04/2025)- Taking a very risky decision for the betterment of my life

Bold face after taking a risky decision

Yesterday, I woke up feeling anxious, preoccupied by a pending decision that needed to be made before the day's end. As a result, I felt sluggish while doing my morning chores and getting ready for work. Despite this, I persevered and pushed through, completing my preparations, having breakfast, and getting dressed before heading out to work.

The rain poured down all night and continued to drizzle into the morning. Despite the wet weather, I didn't let it deter me. After finishing my preparations for work, I grabbed my cardigan and headed out, ready to take on the day.

Upon arriving at the office, I went about my usual morning routine, tidying up and arranging things as needed. Afterwards, I took a moment to write a letter to management requesting leave, which I then submitted for review.

I was summoned to clarify the contents of my letter, which I did. However, I wasn't granted the full week of leave I had requested to care for my ailing mother in the village. My boss only approved three days, which was insufficient, but I reluctantly agreed. When they later insisted that I work a full day yesterday, despite initially approving my leave, I disagreed and decided to leave the office.

Before I arrived home, the office called me twice, but I declined to answer. I had made up my mind earlier that morning, and I didn't want to reconsider my decision.

I was hungry, so I headed to the eatery and bought a meat pie, which I paired with Hollandia yogurt to temporarily curb my hunger. Afterwards, I lay down to rest and calm my mind.

After waking up, I made a few calls to my father, and he asked me to pick up some items in town before visiting the next day. So, I postponed my trip and used the extra time to attend choir rehearsal at church.

Despite the drizzle, I boarded a bus to the church around 6:30 am. Unfortunately, I missed the rehearsal, but I ran into two choir members by the church gate who had also missed it. They told me that the rehearsal was brief, with only about 7 people in attendance.

We then headed back home. Conveniently, one of the choir members was going in the same direction as me, so we sat together on the bus ride back.

As we were en route, the driver pulled into a fuel station to refuel, as he was running low on fuel.

After that, he drove directly to my stop, and I alighted and headed home. However, I was feeling restless, with many thoughts racing through my mind, which suppressed my appetite. Although I had planned to have some swallow before bed, I just didn't feel like eating. With that, I called it a day and retired to bed.
