The Diary Game Season 3. 13/08/2022

Hello lovely family of the steemit. Hope we all are doing well. Writing to present my diary of Saturday 13th August. I got up that day at about 6a.m though I didn't sleep well the whole that night due to menstrual cramps. When I got up, I quickly did my morning prayers because I had to prepare fried rice for a born house we had that day. This born house commonly called here is a what the English man will call a baby shower. After my prayers, I hurriedly took a , brushed my teeth and went straight to the kitchen though I was still feeling some pains. By 11a.m was done with my cooking. Though that was not all about the preparations.

By 11:30 the process continued with the preparation of fufu corn. Usually in occasions like this we don't cook a little quantity of fufu corn. Fufu corn is always prepared in a size 20 pot or a size 25 pot. When it is cooked in this type of big pot not only one person cooks at least two persons do the preparations.

When the corn fufu was ready, I joined the others in the tying process. By 1:30 it was all done. We had serious rain fall that day coupled with the cold up there in sabga one was just struggling to do things though it was raining. By 14:30 people started coming in. Food was being served I went to my aunt's place to greet her since i never saw her come to the house early enough. I spent like 30minutes at my aunt's place and on coming back to the house food was already served to the people that came early.

Normally in our village settings, food is often served in the kitchen. When people were well fed another scene came in the part that entails the dancing to some baby shower songs or traditional born house song. At this point we dance round in a circle. All these was still done in our firewood kitchen. It is often enjoyable in the firewood kitchen. We had a whole lot of songs though there were some of the songs we could not sing because of modernism. A whole lots of the songs were forgotten.

You can see the joy in us as we are dancing it's was so much fun. By 18:00 the dancing ended because there were people there who came from far and with the down pour they decided not to take motor bikes to their destination because of bad roads. So they had to do the trekking. By 20:00 I headed for bed because I was really tired from the day.
