Humble greetings from motherland Bamenda, Cameroon, to my esteemed Steem mates. Today has been a splendid day for me as I attended my good friend and brother's traditional wedding in the West Region of Cameroon, specifically in Bangang, in the Bamboutos Division.
It was a great honor for me to witness such a wonderful day in the life of a man who went from being just a friend to becoming my mother's son. It was a great pleasure to witness and partake in this very important day in his life and the life of his beautiful wife.
Ever since I became friends with Promise, I have been greatly inspired by his personal drive and his level of self-discipline and growth-oriented nature. Promise is one person who always makes good use of his time. He's either taking a course to empower himself, working a job, assisting his parents on the farm, working on a business, etc.
It's hard to find my friend idle. He's a very intelligent person, but my friend not only has a big head, he has an even bigger heart. He is compassionate and has the gift of empathy.
With Promise, I have written a bunch of articles, done YouTube videos, voiceovers, written and worked on projects on Fiverr, written a course in Dropshipping, and done business together, so there's a lot I could say about him, but let me spare you the trouble of reading all of that long story.
Today started well and ended well, but for the fact that on our way back this evening, at about 6:30 pm, we had just entered Bamenda and were still somewhere around Mile 2 upstation, specifically at "Blue Moon," only to discover that we were just 45 seconds away from an accident between a Rav4 and a 70-seater bus. The accident had the small Rav4 badly damaged, and as I write this post now, a lady who was in the small vehicle is fighting for her life in the hospital. She was most affected by the accident. It was already dark, but I could still see her face covered in blood, and she was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. I hope she recovers soon.
My sincere prayers and well wishes are with her and all others who were involved in this fatal accident.
My high-school biology teacher used to say, "We should always be grateful because it could be worse." I am grateful for my brother's new journey with the woman he loves and I thank God for the healing and comfort that I believe He is going to grant all the people who were involved in the accident.
Amen 🙏
What a great way to end the year. They were lucky it was not in hometown with the commotion that day in town I can imagine how marriages were ruined.

They really were fortunate that they thought it wise to make it happen outside hometown. I imagine how the persons who were not as fortunate felt seeing their months of planning and investment of both time, money and energy go down the drain. 😕

It was frustrating, imagine cooking food for your marriage on that day and eventually ruined the day.
