Greetings from Bamenda City, esteemed colleagues of the Steemit ecosystem
I hope that we're all doing well today.
I am currently working with the TIPS team to organize the graduation event for our recent trainees.
While I have not organized too many events in my career so far, the few I have organized have been quite rewarding experiences, contrary to my initial expectations. Yes, it can be taxing, but the rewards are significant. I've already learned a lot from these events. For instance, I realized from the last one
that you don't need a large budget to put together a good event. Instead, you need to know the right people – those who can provide quality equipment and skilled operators. Additionally, a great team is crucial for brainstorming ideas to make the event both remarkable and affordable.
During the planning of the personal development seminar with the team.
I have benefited greatly from our team's brainstorming sessions.
It is also important to choose the right speakers based on the event's objectives. Look for speakers who can contribute meaningfully to the event, regardless of their level of experience or fame.
Knowing the right people is also helpful when considering entertainment options. Many talented up-and-coming entertainers (comedians, dancers, musicians, performers, artists etc.) can add more energy to your event than established ones. Building relationships with these individuals can be instrumental to the success of your events. At the very beginning, do not bother too much about profit, focus on investing and building a great reputation. when this has been done, people wouldn't mind paying the amount you ask them to pay to participate at your events because they know that they are going to have a great experience.
Finally, it's essential to treat all team members, especially emerging talent, with respect and motivation. Pay them fairly whenever possible.
I look forward to learning more about event planning and organization. I plan to take a training course soon to enhance my skills and knowledge.
Thank you for reading,
Cheers!! ✌️
