Identifying Community Problems

Hello Steemians ,hope you all are doing great.Have you at some point in your life found yourself at the crossroads and don't know what direction to take as far as getting a job is concerned? This often happens to university graduates who do not learn a professional skill in the university. Alot of people forget that the moment they are able to identify problems in their community and attempt a solution to them, they will automatically be employed and kill idleness. Some people find it quite difficult to identify community problems. But it is easy as they simply just need to make good use of their senses. In most cases, several communities would be in need of one thing or someone in my community discovered that ,if she turned fruits into fresh juice,it will attract more people to consume fruits so she loved the problem by creating a juice bar.

If you use your eyes well, you would notice alot of things that the community can be in need of , say , power supply. food, water and alot more. what ever is seen to be lacking can always be provided

Through the use of the sense of smell, you can use your nostrils to identify a smelly corner of your community that needs cleaning. The next thing will be to see how to moneytize this problem so that while it makes better the community, you can also make money from it.

Ones hands can be incredibly creative .You just have to make sure that you identify a skill you can set your hands on, then maximize it to the fullest. Truth is , no one with two hands is capable of not doing something lucrative with them at all. No matter what talent you have , use it to contribute to solving a community problem

There is someone who is home without a job but knows how to cook very well .That is someone with a solution that can give her money on a daily basis from her community and beyond. If you use your sense of taste ,you will make a lot of money by solving a community problem.

In a bit to solve a community problems,
one would need to make good use of the sense of hearing. While interacting with other people,if you make good use of your ears you will definitely hear alot from discussions in groups ,on the streets and other gatherings.

Great initiative she used. Most at times it’s not about the lack of something to do that keeps some graduates jobless, it could be some aspect from their view point of what a good job looks like. Your write up reminds me of a time I was advised to do something I didn’t like just because of some stupid reasons then.
It’s always good to improvise. Thanks for the reminder and advice.

Is it really always good to improvise. That is why I thought that ,using ones senses to identify community problems is imperative.

May our contry be great someday with such awareness being created everyday thanks for sharing

Very true. Many believe in big time jobs like working in the banks, international non governmental organizations, being engineers but they don’t ask themselves what will I do when I finish my studies.
It’s time for more creativity especially now with hard times.

The question of what one can do is supposed to be answered before one pursues university education but it is often ignored by many.

Indeed, using our senses will go a long way to identify problems and think of subsequent solutions and the necessary steps which can be taken to achieve results.
