INTRODUCTION

Greetings my fellow esteem steemians......;

The past weeks has seen enormous changes and a huge increase of steemit activities on ground here in Bamenda Cameroon since the steemit sensitization campaign was lunched by @thgreens and also following the Steem-Cameroon Structuring program that entails a lot of negotiations, meetings and setting up of solid organs that will enable the growth of steemit in Cameroon. We are keen to building a huge sustainable support system for content creators here in Cameroon, a support system that will be able to reward the ever growing content creators of Steem-Cameroon.

ACTIVITIES

SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGNS

For the past two weeks we have embarked on sensitization campaigns through radio talks where i and steemians @yeesja, @craxywriter and @tenguhatanga introduced the steemit platform to listeners, how steemit works and more...Topics we have frequently discussed on are listed bellow:

General Steemit

  • What is Steemit.com?
  • How does Steemit work?
  • How does Steemit differ from other social media websites?
  • What do I need to do in order to secure my account?
  • Does it cost anything to post, comment, or vote?
  • Can I earn digital tokens on Steemit? How?
  • Where do the tokens come from?
  • Where does the value come from?
  • Why are people getting vastly different rewards?

ACCOUNTS ON STEEMIT

  • How do I create an account?
  • What information do I need to provide in order to create an account?
  • Why do I need to provide my email and phone number?
  • Can I create a Steem account without an email and phone number?
  • It is not letting me create an account with my phone number. What should I do?
  • What happens if my email or phone number changes?
  • Am I allowed to create more than one account?
  • Can I change my username?
  • Can I delete or deactivate my account?

NB: Explanations to all these questions were given out as seen on the answers to the frequently answered questions of steemit

All radio sessions were very interactive as listeners were given the chance to ask questions live while we also gave answers to these question. Following these radio sessions we have been having amazing feedback with lots of these listeners and others who are coming in each day to know more and to create their account and to begin the mentoring program

See pictures of radio sessions bellow

At @pierrealin office where we mentored him to making his introductory post. @njiatanga and @yeesja

We also recorded more and more persons coming in to know more about steemit at our Literacy center.

Days' activities at the Literacy center

We hope to do more in the days ahead to be able to attend to more people in a day as we await the official inauguration of the center with more mentors available.

Wish to thank the entire steem Cameroon team for the enormous work efforts we are putting in, i see steemit growing to its peak here in Cameroon in less than no time
