Hi, steemians, it's been awhile! How has it been with you? For me, it's been a great ride so far. I'll be writing to seek for the opinions of my fellow steemians.So, ride with me!
Yesterday, I woke up very early, as early as 5am Nigerian time. I took some time for personal meditation for few minutes before I started to prepare for work. I was able to navigate my chores and I got to work few minutes past 7am.
Here I am before entering my school compound, also my workplace. I was welcomed as usual by my students and few staff I came across. We exchanged pleasantries and then went on with my work. This week is for midterm test in my school, so I had to wait for my period to enter and give my class their midterm test. And eventually, I had the opportunity to do so, I gave them the test and then, they were done in few minutes. I went back to the staffroom and rested a few minutes.
Afterwards, I made some research where I got some news for my press club. And then, I was done for the day. I went home and had my lunch and siesta. I woke up around 5pm. I was so tired, but I woke up relaxed afterwards.
After I woke up and was relaxing, few minutes past, some of my students came in for lessons, I was conversing with one of them, asking him why they came at such late time. So while we were conversing, I noticed the boy that stays in my compound with a small phone. All I thought was that it was one of my students phone. So I just waved it off. Then I turned to my student and told him to bring his lesson note, he then said, he didn't bring him and then I asked him what he wants to use for the lessons, so he left.
Later in the evening, someone came to the compound to unplug phone, but she didn't see it. She started wailing, since I didn't really understand what they said, they were using Igbo language, so I had to go out of my room and ask what the problem was, and I was told she's looking for her phone. So I told her to wait let me ask that small boy about the phone he was with earlier. The boy didn't let me finish when he ran out to come and give the phone to the owner.
The mother came out and started ranting and cursing me. In her defence, she said I should have collected the phone from the boy instead of coming to ask for the phone afterwards.
Now, my fellow steemians, where did I go wrong?
