Introduction:
Farming is the process of growing crops and keeping animal for food and raw materials is the process of working the ground and planting of seed
Quality: I can say quality mean how the value of a product evaluate as compared to other products or good and service,in everything the quality matters for example the quality of organic products can not be compared to convertional goods.
Quantity is the amount of good and service that can be achieved within a given time .
A community is a group of people who live together in a given place with same believe , religion, culture and race who share the same believed ,the community I live In is no other places but balikumbat sub division. The type of crops cultivated in my community Include
maize,beans,rice, grandnut,okor just to name a few the cultivation of the above mentioned crops in the times of old can't be compared to the 21 century for example crops like rice was done typically with man made labour and it was of high quality than this our new era of cultivation it had a good taste ,
most of this our parents cultivate these crops mostly for direct consumption only little was taken to the market for sales to take care of the family responsibility .the food insecurity that is face globally has called for concerned as a result of increase in population in the rural area that make the demand for this good higher and cause farmers to increase the scale of production. Where the farmers are force to introduce new farming method where sythntetic chemicals are use to increase the scale of production to meet the growing population. Permit me to used the word quality to compare it organic products while the quantity is that of convertional goods, as of now we all knows the advantage of organic products .the following are the advantage of quality product
- healthier living
- building of the immune system
The disavantages of this quality products are as follows - higher price for quality products.
- low yield.
The change In quality and quantity of food in the times of old and our present era.
- improved seed have been introduced that have higher yield as compared to the old
- disease control such as the use of synthetic herbicide to fight Infected crops
- as the result of increase in global food insecurity face globally as rising population which have cause the world leaders to remedy it they have Introduced the used of fertilizer to increase the yield of production.

How the cultivation of rice have changed in my community:
At the time of old my grandmother thought us how rice was cultivated using the local tools which they produce quality out put where the land was till with the man labour tilling of the soil which it will stay for a week before planting .
but now in the 21stcentury there is machine's that is used for the tilling of the soil and the planting is commence immediately and the output is higher as compared to the old time cultivation where a single person can cultivate a hecter of land
