One thing I'm always grateful for is having where I called my home,I don't only have a home I have people who loves and welcomed me anytime I'm around despite being married in another state. I can remember vividly when I used to go to farm with my parents during planting and harvesting,then it was stressful but enjoyable .

Early morning my mother wake my younger ones up so they can go to our nearest farm to harvest some cassava for garri production. Immediately I heard my mum's voice I told them I will go with them.

Harvesting cassava this time is very difficult because of the dry season, the ground was so dry making the cassava to break under the ground.

I stood up to rest

My hands started hurting me , I stood up to have some rest while my younger ones continued. The morning sun met us in the farm.

Coco yam is another local food I saw in our farm,I sized the chance and harvested some for consumption. In my home we have special meal that can be prepared with coco yam and this specie that I brought is the main one for cooking it thickens very fast and gives that natural coco yam taste .

We came back home and was very hungry, my mum has prepared Nigerian porridge beans and yam. We didn't waste time we washed our hands and ate the food. Trust me guys village food prepared on local firewoods has it's own taste.

After eating the beans ,we rested for a while and start peeling the cassava so they can grind it.

Peeling cassava takes more time unless there are more hands to help. We joined hands to make sure we didn't spend the whole day on it.

Immediately we finished everything we called those that will come and grind it . They came in less than an hour and grinded it . They took it to the final engine that will press out the water before it will be ready for frying.

It was evening since all of us came back for the holidays we sat outside and was discussing some things that happened in the village and how the youth has been helpful in making sure everyone is comfortable without any rumor of stealing .

Pawpaw is a refreshing fruit that contains vitamins, it was my evening meal. That was how my day went until my next diary .
