My diary game; 14/12/2024: Graphics design for a client

Greetings to my failure steemians.. welcome to my blog and equally to my diary post. So excited to share with you my day well spent doing what I learned in season 20 and 21 of the steeemit Learning challenge with main tag #learnwithsteem. Graphics design application.

A Sunny season and sunny days. I woke up this morning feeling enthusiastic with early morning sun rays glazing from the sky. Energetic enough, I jumped into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Later on, I move to the sitting room to carry on with some sports activities. Push ups, crunches and jumps.

Afterwards, I move to the bathroom again to take a bath. I was having a class in the morning , private one to be precised. Few minutes later, I was ready for school. Checking, my environment, I made sure every where was locked before taking my bike.

I took a bike from my entrance to the house which I was supposed to have the private class. In some minutes after, I was there . So unfortunately, the parents told me they family is visiting the orphanage. So it is impossible to have a class in the morning. A little disappointed since they didn't inform me on time, I said fine and left the place.

Just as I was about going home, one of my cousins called me so to attend to her services which she saw on my advertisement post on my Whatsapp status. She needed my services for graphics design stickers she was supposed to use on her branding.

She intend to start a small business with production of natural juice. So I was the best option and capable for this job. It being my first official design in application, I design to give it a try and see how it turns out.

She requested a logo and six different stickers brand. So it's a lot of work and owing to the fact that I was supposed to do and she confirms, I decided to swing by her place so dat she could give me the design details and it will be much easier.

Starting up I pick up specific elements and began with her logo production. I came up with 2 logo variants as I learned from my lessons in graphics design.

After examining the two. The complement by saying she's facing difficulties choosing between the two. But later on, she said we could work with the second logo.

Alright. I proceed by choosing the dimensions of her design. She wasn't having the tools at hand so we proceeded with a standard a standard dimensions which is 76×37mm.

Continuing with the design, I requested she give me the information to all the details that should be applied on the design. This was because she was about going to the market to purchase the containers which the design will be applied on.

While she was away I completed the first design and forward it so her and she confirms.

Now this makes my work easier as I was to duplicate the same design and change the brand name and elements.
Some hours later, I finally rounded up with the complete designs of all the six flyers.

From here. I decided to taste them out on a few mock-ups. This is how the designs will look like in real life.

From here. I relax a little bit while waiting on my cousin to return from the market. Few minutes later, she arrived and I showed her all the designs. She confirmed already and we left immediately to go do the printing.

This took us several hours and later we finally the work was done. She returned home with the stickers while i go to church for my doctrine classes. 6:00 p.m. return from church. I took a bike to her place. Before reaching, she had begun putting the stickers on the containers.

I joined her in the process and we rounded up I'm lesson that no time. This is the final application of my design and how they look on the bottles.

Everything good. We relax while she brings me some hot fufu for dinner. It was so delicious 😋 and perhaps I enjoyed myself in process.

After my meal, I relax for a little while before finally going home to relax for the day. It's was such a great the and I loved my productivity in this day.

Overall I want to thank the Steemit team for bringing us the learn with steem challenge and adding a new skill to my achievements. Equally the biggest thanks go to my trainer and tutor @lhorgic for taking out his time to teach and structure us to becoming better graphics designer in future.
