THE DIARY GAME||12 Nov 2024||: Attending a traditional wedding

Hello guys!

How do you do. I'm so happy to share with you about my day and the activities in it. On this day, I was able to attend a traditional wedding in my town as an invited guest.

Beginning my day, the following morning, I woke up at 6:40 a.m relax and less preoccupied about the day as it's my off day and I was supposed to be at home. While I'm up, I head straight to the bathroom to clean my teeth and ease myself.

Back to the sitting room, I began wondering on what I should have for breakfast. Finally come up with an idea, which I took just tea and this was to minimize time as I had to get to work immediately. Not the professional type but graphics design lesson.

I bought some bread from a near by store and took it with tea. That's what I was able to reserve myself for breakfast.

Before sleeping the previous night I had planned to work on a graphics design lesson with respect to the Steemit learning challenge. Immediately after my breakfast, I began working on this lessons and this took me several hours before completion.

I was able to pull out at least three design features, 2 logo type and a flyer. While I'm done with my design, I began writing the detailed post on the various steps needed in each process to come out with a particular feature.

While I'm done with my exercise, I relax a bit and later go to do some cleaning 🧹 before getting set for the next program in list. I took my bath at about 4:30 pm , and ready to go for the traditional wedding. This was to take place as from 6:00 p.m. but since I leave a bit far from this environment, I decided to go a bit early.

5:30 p.m. I left my house and then took a taxi by the road to the venue which the wedding will be holding. My ride took about 30 minutes upon arrival. I met my friend Chia Bertrand who welcome me to the venue. His causing was the groom of the day and I was invited by him equally.

While waiting for the program to begin, I took a seat and watch some funny comics on my phone which kept me entertained for the time until I the even finally began.

At first the ushers welcome all invited and directed them to a table which they have be assigned to. I equally took my seat at the rightful place and follow up with the rest of the program.

Few minutes later the MC wash usher on stage and the program kick started. He read all the outline of activities for the day and later on handed the floor to the parent of the bride for traditional rights to be exhibited.

This is how it is done and therefore how it was equally done; the parents of the bride will fill a traditional cut with palm wine, then sent the bride in the crowd to show them her husband amongst all me present. The bride will dance and move round looking at peoples faces and later when she finds her rightful husband, she will hand over the cup and the groom will drink from it.

While he's done, he put some money in the cup and then dance with the girl back to the parents. Here the
Parents will give their full benediction and bless the Union of the couple.

While this part was done, the next take over. The MC give room for the couple to explain on how they met each other. Although it was funny at first but the story ended so sweet.

Afterwards, we proceed to the refreshment part. Everyone was allow to pass at the table and have wat the want for the night. I miss this part as I was not feeling to well with my stomach. I decided to have just some drinks for the night.

Few moments later, some of my colleagues from school joined me there and we chill together for the rest of the night.

While the program continues, it was getting later and since we all have work the next morning, we decide to leave before time.

It was a great day and a great time out there. Wonderful wedding with beautiful couple. I enjoyed myself out there and hopefully I get more wedding as such in the coming days. 😊

Dear diary, I had an amazing day with lots of fun, well planned and utilized carefully. Thank God for a successful day and I am hoping other same could follow by example. Thank you guys for sharing my diary with me and keep on checking my blog for the next up coming diaries.
