It’s another beautiful day to thank the almighty for the win gift of life. By his grace I hope everyone out here is doing great. My regards to @amazing-ghana for your support, I’m here to stay and make each and everyone happy.
I’m much proud of where I come from…. Ghana 🇬🇭 the nothern part of Ghana precisely, the upper East Region (Bawku), were we are well notice for our great heritage. It’s another wonderful year regardless of our step backs we still have to give thanks to the gods for his guidance and protection through out the year by celebrating our . The name of this festival is called Samanpiid, which is celebrated by the kusasi and it’s often celebrated on the 30th of December each year which also falls on a market day in the town , it is headed by the chief NaBa Asigri Abugrago Azoka II.
This year festival marks 35th annual samanpiid celebrated
On this day, dignitaries are invited to honor the event. This year the president of the Republic of Ghana and others dignitaries were present. The festival starts with the chief pouring win to the gods.After that comes with an opening dance and songs from traditional dancers and singers
On this day, the dress we wear is smock and the least worn by a person was 2 and more with a lot of drums 🪘 being played for us to rejoice
It was really nice celebration, seeing people smile and dance to thank the gods for a successful year. Later in the day, the president and other dignitaries gave a wonderful speech to the people kusal traditional community. People drunk and dance all they long
