Warm steemit greetings to everyone in this wonderful community. I trust we are all doing fine! In my today's article, Iwill be highlighting the role parents ought to play in the lives of their children for their proper upbringing and also the loopholes our fathers practice that often make most children to bond and confide more to their mother than with their father.

Firstly, in most African homes, it is common to see that parental duties have been partitioned with each parent having a defined role to play in the home. One major problem in this “duty-sharing” is that the father consider that the woman is entirely responsible for taking care of the child in the day and at night. For instance, in most homes it is rare to see the father nursing or feeding his child; this part of work is always considered as the woman's part: this explains why most children ends up bonding more with their mother than with the father just because of the role they see their mother playing in their life.

A funny and common question that's always asked to children that- if there are to chose between their father and mother, who will they chose? Most children always say their mother. They always choose their mother because of what they see them do everyday and they think and consider that their mother would easily be found when there are in trouble than their father. It's not like I'm saying our fathers aren't putting effort in their children upbringing, but the message I'm trying to pass is that they should enhance their father-children relationship. Try to cook for the family once in a while, do some laundry, sweep or even mop the home at times
This trick will help to enhance the father-children bond.

You have a good write up, and I believe the fathers and to be dads will come across it. This will help to create awareness of breaking the chains women have been entangled with by the society.
