THE DIARY GAME: 05/30/2021

When i got up from bed this morning, i felt joy in my spirit, didn't know why but i was just so excited. As usual, i will always do my morning meditation when ever i get up and as well make up my bed. this took me about 30 minutes after which i did some body exercise in the small space in my room before stepping out to do my house chores and going to church.

Usually, i would always get water from our local well with my brother before feeding the pigs but since rain fell last night and filled all our water cans outside, there was no need again to get water from the well. Without waste of time, we kept the pig farm clean before feeding the pigs. By 8am we were done from the pig farm after which i went and had my bath.
When i was about dressing up after my bath, i discovered that i had not iron the dress i planned on wearing today to church.

So i hurriedly ironed it and dressed up for church after which i went and had my breakfast.
Today i didn't planned on going to where i usually fellowship every sunday because one of my uncles who happened to be a pastor was transferred to another church and today was the sent forth service for him and the family.

And of course i have to attend this service. This service was some kinda reunion for me and some of my cousins. As it has been more than 4 months i met or see some of them. We mostly talk on phone but the physical presence is what matters the most.

Church service started by 9:20am, with an opening prayers from one of the elders in church followed by a moment of Praise.
So during this service, i was playing the drums with one of my other cousins who also came for the program and is also a drummer. I feel like music runs in the family(haahaha)

After Praise, followed by a moment of worship, reading of church announcement, collecting church offerings, ministration from the church choir before the preacher mounted the pulpit.

By 12pm, he was done preaching which lead us directly into the sent forth service.
My uncle was took outside, followed by all the men in church as he was expected to dance into the church with his family.

I have never seen him dance before and today was just that opportunity for me but yet, i was concentrating playing the drums and still didn't see him dancing.

By 2:30pm, we were done from church as there was some light refreshment to crown the day.
I later left the church, went to go collect my new keyboard which i bought some days back from Douala and begged one of my bona-fide brother (@rexiano) to help me send it to Bamenda as he is based in Dla.

After collecting the keyboard, i took a motor bike and went for my regular music rehearsals every sunday. It usually starts by 1:30pm, but there was no way i could make it on time due to the long church service and picking on my keyboard.

I went there around 3 pm and today, we had new members who were joining the team. Its been long we had new members in the band and i was so so happy for those who decided to be part of the band. They were 12 of them, among which there was 2 drummers, 1 bassist and 9 singers.

We rehearsed about 3 songs together, snap some group pictures and by 5pm, we done with rehearsals as i left, went home immediately and called it a day.
