The idea of having to visit a blog you are following to be able to see what's up is really a problem to me too. I will prefer we get notifications to that effect too. Then counting comments and posts as one too they should separate it too. Then i do be visiting my profile everyday but because i have not commented or voted its doesn't count, somehow it encourages work but that longtime of absence can get your mentor feeling discouraged too.
