What do you think about Elections in your country:

Elections in my country are democratic elections. That is, the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The system of government of my country is formed by the vote of the people. People will vote for whoever they want. In this case people must elect a qualified person. Since the independence of the country, democracy has been in practice. And democracy is the rule of the people. Where people are the source of all power. Government is elected by popular vote. But the people can elect whoever they want. And this is the election of my country.

What do you think about the electoral system in your country?

The electoral system of my country is very advanced. Here people can happily vote in a healthy manner. However, voters face many difficulties while casting their votes in some areas. But I think the electoral system of my country is quite advanced. The election system of this country is managed by the Election Commissioner. People's votes are taken in various places based on the election. People go to a designated place in their locality and vote happily. Each polling station has several presiding officers. Who are responsible for protecting the voting rights of each polling station. Vote counting is done with the permission of the Election Commissioner. At the end of the counting of votes, the candidate who is eligible gets the most votes. And the person who gets the highest number of votes is elected. In this way in our country, starting from village, union, district, upazila and national elections are completed. In every election, voters secretly vote for their preferred candidate. This is the electoral system of our country.

How is it done in your country?

Candidates campaign for about twenty to thirty days to complete an election. Before the start of the election, the candidate spends a busy time in his campaign. It is a democracy, so the more popular the person, the more votes he deserves. So candidates do their proper campaigning in the election. So that people can know about the popularity of the candidate. Also, each electoral candidate has its own symbol. The symbol on which people cast their precious votes. Posters are printed for campaigning election symbols and they are pasted on roads, schools, colleges and other places. It is also mainly done to promote own symbols among the people. By the specified day the candidate completes his campaign and votes are accepted on the specified day. After that, the highest number of votes obtained through polling is considered as elected.

Is it transparent and fair in your country.

Election system should be fair. But it is said to be a matter of power. So no one wants to lose power easily . And that's why the ruling party adopts different strategies to get re-elected. That is why the ruling party always wants to create various problems for the opposition party. The ruling party adopted various strategies to suppress the opposition. Therefore, I cannot say that the election system of this country is completely healthy and fair. Here, everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to achieve the interests of their party. As a result of which the people have to suffer. But I can't say that the electoral system of my country is completely sick. Because in some places beautiful and healthy elections are done.

Assume there's no fairness and effectiveness as far as elections are concerned, what solutions can you propose to ensure its being carried out the right way

image.pngsource pixabay

In my country election system which is more prevalent is vote buying. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I have noticed in almost every election, votes are bought from innocent people with money. This is a very negative aspect. As one of the reforms for healthy elections, I think strict measures should be taken regarding vote buying.

disenfranchisement, Voting is the right of every citizen. But in many parts of my country the right to vote is constantly being undermined. That is, the people are being prevented from voting for the candidate of their choice. Action should be taken against this bad policy such that the candidature of those involved in this malpractice should be cancelled.

In this country, many types of quarrels are seen around elections. Many times one even kills another because of the election. An amicable and fraternal solution should be found in this matter.

To follow all the rules and regulations of the state to establish democracy. Along with this, all the constitutional activities should be properly reviewed. Strict action should be taken against any activity outside the constitutional norms.

Because it is a matter of power. Everyone wants to keep power. And that's why if strictness is not imposed on all these issues, there is a possibility that the government system of a country will become a dictatorship. So I think it is possible to establish a healthy and normal election system by the above mentioned things.

conclusion

It is a beautiful competition. I participated here with pleasure. Through this competition we can learn about each other's country's election system. So I like this competition very much. One of the issues of a country is the electoral system through which people seek the welfare of the country. This competition was one of the best to know about this. So I invite my dear friends to participate in this beautiful contest. @nadiaturrina @msharif @ripon0630 @kouba01 @stef1 @irawandedy @shohana1 @max-pro @robin42 @enamul17 @f2i5 @abialfatih Hope you all participate in this contest with joy.

The General Election in Indonesia is an important event for the country's democracy and serves as an opportunity for the people to have a say in the future direction of their country.

Votes buying also common here in my country, it really gives a downgrade showing how they electorates are poor

Thank you for your efforts to participate in this engagement challenge week 3. Unfortunately, your entry is not valid because you failed to respect the start time for week 3 engagement.

I am so sad. But I know that the engagement challenge can't be taken on more than one day. So I thought about my time and completed my entry. I always have a sincere respect for all aspects of engagement. Thank you for your reply. May Allah bless you. 🙂

The start time for the contest was 00:00 UTC and not local time. It is not the same time with local time. In my region that is 1:00 AM.

Yes 👍

Creo que la política en todos los países tienen una jugada oscura siempre quieren comprar votos , es tanto la avaricia que se olvidan de las necesidades del pueblo al final, sin embargo deseamos ejercer nuestro voto para ver cambios
Saludos

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback ☺️

amigo gracias por participar y mostrarnos como lo hacen en tu país... interesante lo que dices que no es sano y justo también creo lo mismo en mi país...

Great participation, you have touched on really important points and of course elections are very important as it is the guarantee of full democracy in the development of a country.

Politics is often full of corrupt people, as in my country, but we must trust the authorities and give our grain of sand in the election of our rulers.

Well done brother.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback dear sister 😊

Hello dear, @solaymann

You presented your country's election very nicely which impressed me. You have explained well the election period of your country and what this period is like or how you participate in the election and vote. Which you really like. Best wishes for your competition.

Best regards from @robin42

Thank you very much for a nice and constructive comment. May Allah bless you. 😊

It is good find out that your country also participate in the democratic system. This type of system really makes voting simple easy and fair. Good luck buddy

@solaymann

You have shared your insights so well. I enjoyed your explanation. Elections in your country are free and fair and the process is very interesting. You run a democratic system therefore you vote your leaders with good faith. You also highlighted that most times the presiding political parties on seat do not want to loose power therefore they use approaches to deny opposition party victory. The system is not yet perfect too, I guess you shared a very interesting insight. Success in the challenge #steem-on

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback ☺️.

Hola @solaymann, creo que explicaste bien sobre la votación en tu país, pero como siempre la corrupción es una caso que esta presente en casi todas las elecciones, como en el caso de tu país que compran los votos con los más inocentes o hacen otras cosas como impedir las votación.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback 😊

Man, reading your post is a pleasure for the eyes. I think I enjoyed your post more than mine. No sarcasm intended. When I started reading I had a sense of "everything is perfect and nice," but then it turned more realistic and mature.
Man, on one hand, I'm glad there are at least some places in which elections take place normally, like you said here:

"in some places beautiful and healthy elections are done."

On the other hand, I am a little sad knowing that Bangladesh has corrupt elections like most countries in this part of the globe.

Nice entry you have here

I'm glad to learn how Bangladesh Election system operates . thanks @solaymann

Quite similar to what we have here in Nigeria. Eligible voters teem out to vote at their different polling units. Campaigns are held but I do not know how long. Just that there's usually a deadline.

Vote buying, disenfranchisement and violence need to be curtailed. Your suggestions for an effective free and fair elections are valid.

All the best in the contest.

This is a nice and constructive comment. I appreciate your comments. Thank you very much for sharing your valuable feedback.

Thanks you. I enjoyed reading your post.
