Esteem greetings members of our lovely community, we trust that you all are having a great time within the community and on steemit as a whole. Today, we shall be addressing some matters that have been neglected by members within the community, thus hindering community growth. In as much as we shall be addressing these issues, no one is compelled to follow all the suggestions, but would be beautiful if we do our bit to grow as individuals and as a community.

Image Repetition (Self Plagiarism)

This is the first issue we wish to address today! From the Alert!!! publication created last week, you can agree with us that the use of copyright images throughout the Steemit platform is strictly prohibited. We have realized that some members within our community have managed to avoid the use of copyright images by adapting to the use of their own images. This aspect is encouraged on the Steemit platform, however we have noticed that some members indulge in the repetition of already used images on multiple publications. **The steemit team greatly frowns upon this and are quietly taking note of such steemians labeled as bad elements.
For those who have validated their Achievement 3 task on the Newcomers' Community, you can relate with us when we say that reuse of images on multiple publications can be seen as a form of Self Plagiarism; and as we all know, plagiarism of any sort is prohibited throughout the Steemit Community.

Above is a screenshot of SC01's response to the publication of a member in another community. They might not respond to very single publication that falls in this category, but you should be rest assured that the Stemit team takes note of such activities and might place a label on you without you knowing.

So, we call on all our members to restrain from the reuse of images on different publications. Also avoid using similar images repeatedly on same publication since it reduces the quality of the post.

Engagement Levels

Without a doubt, it can be seen clearly that most of our members depend on the support rendered by the Steemit team and the various curation teams that render support, yet members are adamant to do what is needed to attract this support. We have realized that most of our members do not even bother to respond to reviews made on their publications, let alone encourage other authors via casting upvotes and comments.

Screenshot_20220819-193359.png

This has been going on for quite a while now with seemingly no repercussions, but now it shall affect authors since the engagement rules have been proposed for community publications too if authors wish to gain support. In the screenshot, you can see the comment gotten on a publication created with the official account of the community. 10 hours gone with no comment in a community of over 2,000 members and 70+ active publications weekly.

We know that some would say that this is just the curation team and could be changed in the following months. We would like to show you that this decision is greatly encouraged by the entire Steemit team as you can see on the screenshot provided.

In this light, the Steem Cameroon Administrative board has collectively agreed on making daily engagement a compulsory activity within the community if you wish to gain support of any kind.

  • We encourage authors to respond to all comments on their publications, and also comment on at least 5 publications a day, or a total of 35 publications a week.

  • All publications produced by the official account should receive a comment and resteem from its members, we shall keep tabs on this important point. Upvotes are also welcomed if you deem it fitting.

  • If your comment within the first 3 on a publication, feel free to use the #steemOn and #letsCommentCmr at the end of your comment.

We shall encourage those who support other authors regularly each week as we shall randomly select publications weekly and evaluate the engagement levels alongside the members who engaged on these publications. So those who are consistent weekly will definitely be noticed. Daily interactions are preferred.

Observations Gotten From Contest Entries

It is of course a great boost within the community to see that members partake in contests created by the Steem Cameroon Community. It is worth noting that the Administrative body deemed it best to create contests for members only with on the official account, so as to help facilitate community growth via constant power up of weekly rewards. The Steem Cameroon curation account is used to support all our members as long as you meet the criteria of our community with respect to creating publications.
It is very important to note that we do not make beneficiary allocation a must, however we shall continually encourage more those who decide to support community growth and steemit growth projects, such as allocating 30% rewards to the official account (@steem-cameroon) of the Steem Cameroon Community. Help us help you grow.
We shall greatly encourage supporters of the burnsteem25 project, and we hope the Steemit team can also support your contributions. However we do not guarantee that SC01 and SC02 will render support always, the essence for this action within our community is to partake in the support projects of steem growth.
**We hope to see more actions to support steem growth and community growth, not only within contest entries.

  • We frown at contest participants who do not follow the rules of the contest, yet demand for rewards.

  • We also frown at participants who do not support other members' publications (both entries and other active posts) within the community. As such, all participants must include 3 links of publications and authors they read and supported (upvotes and comments) within the community, at the end of their entry post. They should tell us what they liked most about the publication they read.

If you are a supporter of the burnsteem25 project during an entry, you are free to allocate 20% - 25% reward to @steem-cameroon for community build up project.

Quality Of Posts Created Within Our Community.

Some members produce publications with questionable quality, and these members ignore the reviews made to help shape them up. We have been so patient with such authors, but have realized that actions must be carried out if these authors are to adhere to the suggestions made on their previous publications.

All Publications Within The Community:
  • Must be #steemexclusive (not published anywhere before).

  • Must be completely free from all forms of plagiarism.

  • Must belong to a Club Status (club5050, club75 or club100).

  • Must have at least 250 words.

  • Must be bot-free (not receiving paid upvotes).

  • Must have at least one photo (to add quality to the post).

  • Must restrain from the careless mentions of SC01, SC02 and/or the administrative team of our community, unless absolutely necessary. We shall take actions on authors that refuse to adhere to this warning.

  • Must have some level of markdown quality.

Publications that fall short of these requirements shall be muted upon realization. And authors that persistently carryout these acts shall eventually be muted after several cautions made.
Power Up Posts

We all can agree that power up publications always fall short of 250 words. As such, we encourage all our members to have add-on topics like;

  • What power up is about, its advantages and disadvantages.

  • Your steemit growth so far (it could be weekly, monthly, yearly, or all time).

  • What burnsteem25 is all about, its advantages and disadvantages.

  • Your contribution towards the growth of steem/steemit.

  • Your activities so far to support the burnsteem25 project.

  • Your plans on the steemit platform (it could be weekly, monthly, or yearly)

You could better still just fit in the power up writeup in The Diary Game publication for that day.

We make out time to check word counts every time a review is made, please do you best to always surpass 250 words with at least 1 image.

They are to busy to even read community updates. They respond quicker when sanctioned, let's hope for the best as we integrate the link to this publication in our reviews to them.

Some even when sanction do not even border to reply 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️, and still continue with the same errors expecting votes.

We won't relent our efforts to help them grow nonetheless, let's hope they assimilate these vital points made.

At times i wonder why they blog if not to receive feedback from their audience

I have been speculating on this oh. They don't know that they are bloggers with an audience

Thank you for this timely post, we will surely get there quickest. We just need to put hands on deck and make things move.
