Last week, the Farmer Tantoh Foundation took my plastic shredder to the global spotlight. In a 30-minute interview, he shared the story of what inspired me to start building plastic shredders, how the machine functions, and how the project will promote education and create employment and economic opportunities for young people. He also discussed the vision of the project for Bamenda, Cameroon, Africa, and the world.
Kindly subscribe to his channel and watch the story of how our innovation will #EndPlasticPollution in Bamenda:
To complement this innovation, we’ve collaborated with the Future17 Team of QS Impact to develop a Plastics Education and Recycling Toolkit (PEART). This toolkit will be used to train school and community environmental club coordinators to educate pupils and students on collecting, cleaning, and bringing plastic bottles from their homes or communities to school for sorting and shredding.
Meanwhile, I’d really appreciate it if you could donate to our project’s GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bottlestobooksproject
