"Steemit goals are the rudder and sail of a successful steemian"

@thegreens

It's a new year and a lot of us are reflecting on our resolutions for the year. As a Steemian, it's very important to make certain Steem resolutions that can guide you throughout the year and that's why this week's quote focuses on Steemit goals.
Steemit goals are simply Steem targets you hope to achieve within a particular period of time. They are centered around the number of posts, upvotes, followers/followings, comments, replies, SP, Steem, SBD, etc. It's important for Steemians to set daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals and the goals should be SMARTER
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Real
T - Time-bound
E - Exciting
R - Rewarding

In setting up Steemit goals, Steemians should be specific about the number of posts as well as the kind of posts they want to blog about, number of upvotes, number of comments/replies, etc. By specific, it's important for them to have numbers, and it's via the numbers that they will be able to measure or evaluate if they are realizing their goals or not. They shouldn't be too ambitious and set unattainable goals. Their goals should be simple and attainable and I recommend they start with simple daily goals and then move to weekly and finally complex yearly goals.
Goals must be time-bound; meaning at the end of the time period, they should be able to evaluate whether or not they have realized their goals. Finally, goals must be exciting and rewarding but Steemit already provides a very exciting and rewarding platform.
In setting up Steemit goals, steemians should attempt answering questions like;

  1. How many posts and kinds of posts do I plan to blog about daily, weekly, monthly or yearly?
  2. How many comments/replies do I intend to make?
  3. How many upvotes can I cast per day?
  4. How many persons can I follow daily and what can kind of persons should I follow?
  5. How many blogs will I read on a daily basis?
  6. How much do I want to make on Steemit, etc?

To become a successful Steemian, you must set Steemit goals. What are your Steemit goals for the year?
