World Environment Day is like my birthday. It's a day of reflection on my third Life's Development Goal (LDG), to promote global environmental sustainability.
Permit me to remind you of my LDGs:

  1. To respect and affirm the inalienable dignity of the human person,
  2. Promote education for all,
  3. and foster global environmental sustainability.

On World Environment Day, I renew my vow to love, restore, protect and defend Earth.

This year's World Environment Day fell on Sunday that was Pentecost Sunday and early that morning while my kids went to church, I washed the car.
My kids had prepared a list of items that were not available at home and I needed to go to the market to get the items. Before going to the market, I stopped to eat at 09:00AM.
I had Achu and Yellow Soup with bitter leaf and Bambalang fish. What a good way to start the morning.

After eating, I drove to the market. On my way to the market, I stopped and collected my son's bicycle that I had given to be repaired.

From there, I drove to the field to watch my Veteran play. I had a severe headache and was forced to leave the field and go home. Got home at 13:00, bath, and prepared to go for the Alumni meeting, Saint Augustine's Ex-Students Association (SAESA) Bamenda Branch meeting at Blue Pearl Hotel in Mile 3 Nkwen. I did five years of Secondary school in Saint Augustine's College Nso.
Got to the meeting at 14:00 and was appointed chairman. As chairman, I used the opportunity to talk to Ex-Augustinians about World Environment Day and what they can do to make a difference. Ate snacks and had a bottle of origin at the meeting.

Finished the meeting at 16:00 and left for Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Bamenda alumni meeting. The meeting had been postponed from Saturday 4th to Sunday 5th. There, I had two bottles of '33 Export'. There was soo much fun and joy and enjoyment.
Left the meeting at 18:30 for the Veteran meeting that was held at Clifton Hotel. I needed to go and play my veteran njangi. Got there, played my njangi and had a bottle of '33 Export'.
Left the meeting at 19:30 and drove back home. I was scared of the insecurity in town and that's why I had to go back home early.
Ten minutes at home, serious gunshots started in my neighborhood. I Locked the doors, turned off the lights, and went straight to bed.

Goodnight...
