The Greens’ Steem Bank (@thegreensbank) was created to ease Cameroonian steemians' Steem to BTC to CFAF (Local currency) transactions as well as reduce the cost of the withdrawals by 20 -75%.
It costs 0.0005BTC to withdraw Steem via @poloniex but with @thegreens Steem Bank, Cameroonian Steemians can now get instant cash payments in CFAF via MTN Momo for their Steem/SBD at a reduced cost i.e. 20 - 75% of 0.0005BTC.
0.0005BTC currently range between $30 - $34 and USD value increases with the increase in the price of BTC and vice versa
The principal objectives of the bank are;
- To ease Steem/SBD - CFAF transactions for Cameroonian Steemians
- To reduce the Steem/SBD withdrawal cost for Cameroonian Steemians
- To minimize the losses incurred during Steem/SBD withdrawal transactions e.g. A lot of people have made mistakes and sent SBD to Poloniex or mistakes with BTC Wallets.
- To reduce the time taken and worries associated with completing a Steem/SBD to CFAF transaction e.g. Sometimes it takes hours or days for a BTC confirmation to be complete or there may be network issues but with the bank, once Steem/SBD is deposited, the MTN Momo is credited.
- To reduce or stop the power down of Cameroonian steemians’ Steemit accounts via the provision of very low interest Steem loans (10 -13% Interest rates). We believe, if we give Cameroonian steemians loans, they will reduce the rate at which they power down their accounts.
- To give Steem trading and investment alerts/advice to Cameroonian steemians
- To guide and provide Cameroonian steemians with information on how they can better invest in Steem

The Power Up Challenge is a weekly steem power-up challenge for Cameroonian Steemians organized by The Greens' Steem Bank in partnership with @steem-cameroon. The nineteenth edition of the challenge registered 16 entries with 1380.584 Steem powered-up from Cameroon
A handful of steemians whose power-ups we searched and found did not abide by all the Power Up Challenge rules. We are advising that even if you are doing a #club5050 power-up post, make sure to abide by the Power Up Challenge rules so that the post will also be included in the Power Up Challenge for you to win power-up prizes.
