World Humanitarian Day Celebration in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon supported by Steemit

Today, @thegreens joined @mbozekobrice of Dance for Development alongside other civil society organizations in the North West Region of Cameroon such as Mandela Voluntary Foundation, Draufsitch and Sysy House of Fame to commemorate the World Humanitarian Day under the theme "#TheHumanRace" at the the Blue Pearl Hotel Plaza at Mile 3, Nkwen Bamenda.

Attended by over 80 persons, the event was coordinated by @peacemakers who ushered in Mimi who presented on the Volunteerism, Humanitarian action as well as some local and international volunteer opportunities.

Next, we had a talk from @mr-greens of @thegreens who talked about The Greens and did a presentation on the theme of this year's World Humanitarian Day, #TheHumanRace which focused on Climate Change Advocacy and Action.
After presenting on the theme, he further gave a presentation about Steemit and the role Steemit can play in promoting humanitarian action around the globe.

The presentation from @mr-greens was followed by a presentation from the Executive Director of Mandela Voluntary Foundation, who focused on the benefits of volunteering.
These presentations closed with the World Humanitarian Day Choreography Dance that was prepared for us by Dance for Development.

Over 30 persons contacted @peacemakers, @fombae and I about creating their Steemit accounts at the end of the event. However, we were glad to talk to them about the upcoming @steem-cameroon training that is scheduled for Saturday 21st August at Mile 4 Nkwen and invited them to the training.
