Dear Diary,
I woke up on 6/042024 that was a Saturday, feeling very weak and unhappy, my unhappiness stemmed from different sources, one, we didn't have light for some days, two my phone was down I could not work on steemit platform, three, I need to iron my clothes that I wanted wearing to one of my aunt's burial from my paternal family that was slated for that day, we lost her since last year December.

So I picked the clothes put in a polythene bag, along side my charger, to engaged the services of a laundry, then in the process of him ironing, I used the opportunity too to powered up my phone as it was completely dead, that's why I couldn't really took pictures that morning. After all the rigmarole, came back home to prepare for the burial.

The burial was scheduled to start by 12 noon, so as at 11 something I was already on my way to the venue.

I snapped before the arrival of the casket

I arrived at the venue before the burial start, we were awaiting the arrival of the casket, so since I wasn't so strong I went and sat down in one of the canopies I didn't want to enter into the compound yet to avoid unnecessary sending of errands because I was not ready to start explaining to everyone that I wasn't strong, although I sighted some of my aunties and cousins busying about and I went over to say hello to them.

It was in no time many people started trouping in, in their numbers, then the next was the blaring sound of the sirens accompanied by the casket in a convoy. One of the deceased son is a police officer; hence the protocol. The burial started, the preacher delivered the word, and words of encouragement were sent to the family, they sang the final song, then prayers were offered, they moved to the grave side still within the compound, as in within 45 mins the burial came to a close. It was conducted by the Jehovah's witnesses and they are very time conscious.

Entertainment of guests took place, I then used the opportunity to move around to meet my family members, my big aunties and uncles and even my cousins that I have not seen for years, it was like a period of reunion. I snapped pictures with few of them for memories.

And there was this drunk that caught my attention, the guy was busy dancing and enjoying himself not minding that it was a burial not a wedding or celebration of any kind, so I had to snapped him🤣🤣🤣.
You know in every occasions especially in Nigeria expect to see this category of individual 😀.

After all the meetings, catch up, eating and all of that, I left there pass 6pm, got home almost 8pm. Freshen up and climbed my bed.

That's how my 6/04/2024 went.

Thank you for your time
