Good day everyone and compliment of the season. I believe we are all having fun in our respective countries and homes. I'll be partaking in this week short movie script contest titled "Xmas Season" and I hope to do my best.
What Do The "Xmas Season" Mean To Me?
Personally, xmas season to me is a season of love, it's that period of year which I grab so tight to ponder about my achievement and my looses in preparation to making it better in the incoming year.
Xmas Season is that time of the year I get to unite and spend quality and lovely time with my family and loved ones after a whole year or months of being apart. It is also a period set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Plot
It was a calm afternoon, the whole town was hot and quiet as people had started travelling back to their villages for the festive holiday while others where still preparing to travel and Prisca was not an exception.
As scorching as the weather was, Prisca was busy putting everything in place in preparation to travel back to her home town Kanba, which was a three and a half hour drive from Mambu where she stayed.
The joy of travelling back to see her people after 2 years of not visiting was irresistible. She made sure she washed everything that needed to be washed and folded them neatly into her travelling box.
Prisca ensured she penned down everything she wanted travelling with and took time to tick them one after another as she carefully arranged them for fear of forgetting anything.
The night was a long one for Prisca as she anticipated her travelling and couldn't wait to reunite with her family after two years of not seeing them in person due to the nature of her job.
It will be very true to say that Prisca became the crowing cock that woke the neighborhood up on Christmas eve as she was so particular and hyper active in her morning worship and prayer by 4:00Am.
She carried out her chores and then made herself plantain with vegetable sauce for breakfast as she avoided eating while on transit. While on the food it occurred to her that there was no physical cash in the house which she would use for her transportation fare, so her next plan was visiting a POS stand which unfortunately none in her street was open by that time.
She went to a neighboring street to make her transaction, the transaction went successful and Prisca hurridlly retreated to her home. While still on the way she noticed some youths running towards her direction, but she felt she would be a coward to run from what she didn't know.
It was like a nightmare to Prisca when the angry youths bounced on her and made life a living hell for her before she could even say jack Robinson which lead to her passing out.
Prisca regained consciousness only to find herself lying by the road side with a crowd hovering round her, she could hear the angry youths shouting on top of their voices "madam wake up and bring that money stop pretending, beautiful thief" oh! how confused and embarrassed 😳 she was at this point.
She managed to stand up and tried asking for explanation but no chance was given to her. Gift the POS attendant didn't make the scenerio any easier as she cried like she just lost a loved one.
Prisca was about receiving another dose of beatings when Tunde, a passer by suggested the case be taken to the station rather than being handled in the manner it was and sister Love, concurred that the idea was a nice one since she knew Prisca to be a good lady, therefore she might be innocent and at least her words were going to count at the station. In no time Eno, Prisca and some concerned villagers were found in the station.
Both Prisca and Eno were asked to write their statement which they did. What baffled Prisca was how she was accused of stealing #50,000 (169.9steem) when the only thing she gave Eno was her card which she in return gave her #5,000 (16.9stem) meant for her fare.
Prisca wailed as this wasn't the day she planned for herself, if she was to be told that she will end up spending her Xmas eve in the cell, she would have returned the wish to the sender. She expected her neighbors to be there for her at the station but maybe the news didn't get to them at this time. Prisca tried as much as she could to defend herself but there was no one to back her up, in this case she had to spend the day behind bars.
Such a trying moment for her, who was going to come to her rescue. Bringing her here was supposed to be a great idea but now the reverse was the case as she wouldn't still be listened to. Her family will be expecting her, she said to herself wondering how many missed calls she would definitely go back to see. Prisca made sure she tarried the while night praying in her heart for help to come but fell asleep at some point.
The next morning at about 9:00 am, Prisca was brought out from the cell, to her suprise she met Eno and Tunde, she wondered what might have brought them that early or did they come to add more accusations?
Madam, carry everything that is yours, you are free to go, was what set in while Prisca was busy trying all the thoughts in her mind, could this be a dream she wondered. She had to ask to be sure if truly she was going and she was told Tunde paid for her bail.
Her joy knew no bound, she knelt down and thanked him happily. Eno later apologized to Prisca for everything she went through explaining that, it was an oversight from her own end and since Tunde lived close and was the one who instigated the idea of her being brought to the station she had to beg him to please come with her that morning.
Tunde volunteered to drive her home and on their way, they got to know a little about themselves and both found themselves interesting, contacts were exchanged and hopefully it was going to lead to something beautiful someday.
Prisca alighted from Tunde's car, freshened up, packed her stuffs, ensured her door and windows were locked and then headed to her village, in less than 3 hours, she arrived. The joy that surrounded her was compared to nothing as she didn't only get to celebrate Christmas with her lovely family but also got a Christmas package in disguise which was Tunde.
It was indeed a bitter experience for her but she was being compensated greatly with the gift of friendship and when she counted her looses for that year she paused to count her massive blessing and couldn't stop smiling.

Kikikiki😂😂. To err is human and to forgive is divine, the good thing is that Prisca at least found something priceless. And for my drawing, some days are like that especially when the hot weather plays with your life. Thank you so much for engaging in my post.
