Hello dear Steemians, hope you are all doing great. It's my pleasure writing out my diary game of Saturday 13, and 14 of November 2021. All in the village. Stay tuned as it goes!.

Dear Diary
It was on Monday of November 2021 when my aunty pass away from the surface earth in Melong. She was kept in the Mutuary. On Friday 12 of November, we had to travel to Melong for Wakekeep but I had to stay back for the village on Saturday morning to keep things on my father's side intact before they could come with the corpse on Saturday. While Mom already left for the village on Thursday for food preparations. I arrived the village at about 9:15am on Saturday with drinks and other stuffs, did some village work and later started entertaining well wishers with food and drinks while waiting for my Dad and others to come with the corpse. It's unfortunate that I couldn't take photos because I was so busy with work at this time.

At about 1:45pm, the corpse arrive the village but my Dad and his other three (3) brothers including the family Head were all left behind due to car break down at Sancho. Family had to wait for them because some traditional rights were to be performed in their presents before my aunty can be put to rest. Bad mobile network in village due. At about 3:30pm, still no signs of them coming until by 4:00pm that we received a call that they are still at Santa due to Gun shots and the road could not go through at the time. They had to pass on power over the phone to one of my uncle who was in the village with us to carry-on the work. My aunty was put to rest.
I rushed back to the house to keep entertaining people. At a point in time, I didn't even know what to do since my Dad was not present and village Chiefs were present of only him could know what to do. (Only fear for me say I fit fail village law) since I don't really know it that much. But I was directed on what to do at the end. It was 10: 55pm, the long awaited Dad and his brothers came in when people have left, others went to sleep and I was still up entertaining the few. We all spend about an hour we were all tired and had to look for a place to sleep of which we finally slept on broken chairs. I couldn't sleep. I was like "dammm"!!!, Morning should come fast.

Finally is was morning (Sunday). We went to finalize the burial since my Dad and his brothers including the family Head were all available.
The last traditional dance was made called "Bottle dance" which was an all-night dance.
tea and bread was shared to everyone present at the moment and Fufu Corn was shared to the singers. And later on, traditional rights were done. And at least l got my own personal time to walk around and greet some people and I saw this fruit below.
I don't really know the English name ohh, but we call it "chinese fruit". That was one of my favorite fruit as a kid. "Story long, time short".

It was a stressful week and thanking God everything went well. I got to know certain things as far as village and tradition is concern and how to tackle some. Thanks for reading through and wish to bring out more write ups. Stay Bless and we continue to STEEM on!!!.💪
