The Diary Game [04/10/2024]// A day spent at the hospital with my sick colleague.

Hello @everyone accept special greetings from this end .Once more welcome to my blog as I share with you guys how my spent my onthe 04/10/2024. Today is my off day from work and after hectic days at work with the students the previous days I needed enough rest for myself .Early in the morning at 6:00am I was up from bed and my first thought was what I will prepare as food for the day.

It’s been like three weeks I haven’t prepared one of my favorite meal fufucorn .I decided I will go to the the market and look for a pumpkin leaves to prepare and eat fufucorn . While, I was sitting on the chair just concluding with what I will cook .My Neigbour who is my colleague started shouting and calling my name in her house I should help her.

I had to listen again if my ears are not getting well .For the second time I heard but her voice crying seriously .Immediately, I rushed from my room to hers .Thank God the door was not locked with the key .I hurriedly pulled the door and saw my colleague lying restlessly,vomiting and sweating.I held her and asked her what is the problem.She told me her stomach is seriously paining causing her to vomits and she can’t take a step to move .Immediately, I changed my dress I wore and looked for car to take us to the hospital .

We arrived the district hospital under rain.It was seriously raining , Immediately the security guard saw us and ran with a wheel chair to take my colleague to the emergency .The situation was very critical and at one point I was disturbed, the previous night she was with me in my room and she was fine while we were chatting together .Before she left to her own house . While, the doctor was attending to her , I sat outside infront of the emergency room.

I was seriously thinking what could really be wrong with my colleague.After I was called and they asked me to pay some money for lab tests .Luckily, she had money she gave me before we were leaving the .I went straight with her hospital cards and paid the lab tests that will be conducted . Later, we all went to lab for the tests to be carry out. The place was opened and those working there were not inside . I discovered those lab technicians were having a meeting inthe next room to the lab .Immediately they heard us talking and came out .

They were fast and the tests was conducted and we were sent back to the doctor . After,reading the lab results .She was diagnosed with severe Typhoid and malaria .Immediately, she was admitted in the hospital and they started giving her treatment .

Later, some of our colleagues came , after I have spent some time with her .I needed to rush to the house and cook food for her to eat .Since she is living alone inthe house .I branched at the market and bought pumpkin leaves since she told me she will love to it too. Luckily one lady selling I
it had but fresh pumpkin leaves.

When I was done buying with meat ,I trekked to my place since my house is not far from the market .Later, I was done cooking fufucorn and with pumpkin leaves.I dished some in the flask to take to the hospital for my colleague.At one point I was very tired and pleaded through call to sent someone one to come and collect the food for her inthe house .In some few minutes a colleague of ours came and collected the food .I dished some and ate as I was hungry.

After, I needed enough rest for myself as I had a busy day at the house with my sick colleague.At this juncture, I called it day by going to bed to sleep . Hoping for my colleague to be responding to treatment fast .My off day from work and resting day turned out to be spent at the hospital with my sick colleague unexpected. Wishing my colleague a quick recovery.
