Greetings, Steemit family! I trust we are all doing great in our respective corners. Permit me to share with you how I spent my day.
I woke up early as usual, did my morning devotions, and then proceeded to do some cleaning. After that, I took a bath, made some breakfast, and headed out for work. Today was going to be a very busy day, as my team, together with our partners from BRIGHT LIGHTS PROJECTS and ASDEPCO, had organized a plastic campaign in Bamenda.
Our team arrived at the office around 9:30 AM before heading to the site where the campaign would take place. It was indeed an interesting exercise, joining forces with other partners to help reduce plastic pollution in our community. There were lots of insightful discussions as we worked to make the environment more conducive. Members of the community appreciated our efforts to bring about change and reduce plastic pollution in our society.
It was a successful day as we recover over 1,000 plastic bottles from the Mulang River, which runs through the city of Bamenda. After the collection, the plastics were taken to our main recycling site, where shredding will be done always . We were able to produce over 126 nursery pots from these plastics that was collected
It was indeed a great day, filled with achievements and positive impacts on both the environment and ourselves. We look forward to collaborating with more organizations that are concerned about the well-being of our society and the environment at large, so together, we can put a stop to plastic pollution in our communities.
