#HelloWorld. Today we are going to make some topnotch, high quality, super DUPER soil.
Step number one is finding some "mycelium." Mycelium is the white, web-like substance on wood and under the soil. You can simply find some in a wood pile or outdoor area with wood chips. Pesticides could hurt your plants ... So look on your own property or maybe a protected forest area on private property. Make sure you legally harvest the mycelium.
The next ingredient for the soil is vegetable compost. I used a few old leaves of lettuce and an old bell pepper. I like to use pieces that aren't visibly moldy. I never use meat or dairy products for the same reason. It molds too quickly and intensely.
Mycelium will mix with the composting vegetables. There is something called "Bacterial mycelium relationship" that is sort of hard to explain, but basically the mycelium will grow faster because of the bacteria and beneficial compounds will be created. also bad mold will be less likely to grow. Mycelium also retains water well {which is one of the reasons it fights mold.}
{{The mycelium and vegetable compost are mixed into the soil above. Make sure to cover all the mycelium and compost under the soil.}}
This is step one of the topnotch soil creation process. There are two steps because we will do half today and the other half in a few days after the mycelium starts to grow. We will place layers of paper to add wood pulp to the soil and also HOPEFULLY place some grass to grow if i can find a good sample in the winter time or some on a potted plant etc.
Thanks for the tokens bud.
