I’ve been so excited to come and report on the Linden Street Superette.

It’s been in Boston since like the 1950s, and I’ve been coming here since the good ol’ days.... like when grunge and punk people ruled Lower Allston, and Mr. Butch was the Mayor.

Linden Street Superette is not exactly a headshop, I mean it sells all the head shop stuff, but also has groceries and is open till like midnight.

The superette is there for you if you need a scale or papers or screens or a hookah or a can of ham or some marshmallows. They have it, all of it, ....even this cat.

they also had, for so long, an amazing neon hookah in the window. Naturally, I had planned to come take a picture of this amazing piece but I became concerned a couple days ago when I noticed it wasn’t in the window anymore. So today I went in to pay The Linden Superette a visit and to find out “what was going on around here?”.

As It turns out, the good people over at the Superette were making room for a new bong case and someone dropped the neon sign. Sad To say, it is no longer.

If there remains any thing bright about that glorious glowing hookah it is that the horrible website, Yelp (more like yikes) has one of their images stored on the web but naturally, being associated with yelp, it’s of really poor quality so I’ll see if I can do better find a better image of it.

Anyway I did need some papers, so I went into the classic super doop to grab some orange ziggies, that I some how have brand loyalty to....and while in that section of Allston, because there’s so many amazing Korean

and other pan-Asian food options, I was starting to imagine tastes and textures of certain locally available food items (like crispy and warm egg rolls or cedar skewers valentining spicy-hot meat slabs). Even though I wasn’t “hungry” I knew I was probably in extreme munchie danger, especially when I saw beard papa cream puffs

Well, I rolled up the last of my Peppermint Kush,

jelly roll style with some Sugarwax and got super high, not to mention bobo tea down my right arm sleeve (dry phone though) as well as chocolate frosted cream puff all up in my beard. .....full “Papa” Style!
