Exciting news for PTSD sufferers. The availability of cannabis in modern research has surely contributed to some newly released and exciting data, around the area of identifying what it is specifically, about the essential compounds in cannabis that work with the human Endocannabinoid system to promote healing.
In an article out of Merry Jane, Chris Moore reports that a researcher by the name of Dr. Patel has been working with mice, and according to the medical science journal, Neuron, he and his team have made some serious headway in determining , neurologically, where the healing happens.
In the recently published study, Dr. Patel has potentially isolated animportant molecule (2-AG ) that works within the Endo-cannabinoid system and helps to regulate anxiety and the body‘s ability to mitigate post traumatic stress.

This work of Dr Patel backs up the findings of a similar research project from 2017 also involving mice and looking at the connection between the frontal lobe and the amygdala sections of the brain, and the 2-AG biochemical receptor.
