The Justice Department has reported some confusion in being able to figure out what the difference is
https://forensiccoe.org/webinar/the-sequel-marijuana-or-hemp/
Last week the USDA agreed not to force farmers to get their hemp tested at DEA labs and is allowing for hemp testingat private third party labs. that’s a big deal because it would be a huge backlog as farmers aren't allowed to do anything with a hemp unless they’ve got it tested through the approved testing facilities. That would be too much hemp to test in a short period of time considering we are almost in the 2020 growing season.
Maine has the slowest roll out of recreational cannabis in the world according to an article put up by Merry Jane.
The voters voted for cannabis 2016 and by 2020 they still have recreational shops one of the problems is a former governor a Stocks prohibitionist have vetoed the cannabis bill it was Eventually overturned but was a huge setback
https://merryjane.com/news/maine-delays-adult-use-cannabis-sales-again
The problem is the municipal governments of Maine and won’t issue the paperwork until the state labs are able to authenticate products as being safe and the labs are able to identify a product, the state is hoping to bring in awash windfall but they can’t get out of their own way to help it happen, bureaucracy at its finest maybe. Meanwhile It’s probably for the best as far as most folks are concerned, as a gift economy has sprung up around legislation allowing residents to be able to grow their own cannabis.

Hemp-based plastics are on the rise
It’s becoming harder and harder to hide the fact that hemp is actually the material that should be use instead of things like cotton and Wood and petroleum and soy it’s one of the oldest known fibers in foods known to man dating back as far back as human civilization and is responsible for the files being printed as well as the material the Gutenberg press use to put them on and for the sales and for the ropes of the ships during the enlightenment. Between the 14th and 20th centuries it’s a remarkable source of food and protein and Omega‘s at remediate soil reduces carbon dioxide now with the advances in 3-D printing technology it’s the perfect partner component for making principal plastic and hopefully will usher in an age of prosperity
