2 things happened in the last few days that got me thinking about how technology is breaching some of our rights. Our right to privacy is a big one. Tech has been moving so fast that the laws are finding it hard to keep up.

The technocracy is just getting underway. My fear is that we'll look back, even to this fucked up year, and think of it as "the good old days". Unfortunately there needs to be more public outrage about this type of thing. The problem is, "public" is not controlled by Google and Facebook. Maybe one day the masses will move off the centralized platforms and onto the decentralized ones, but I'm not holing my breath. Too many people these days prefer the illusion of "security" vs actual freedom and the responsibilities that accompany it.

Aye.. I think we discuss it before, about how technolgy evolves faster than society does and so we are going to keep running into these road blocks until society can catch up and we can reach a concensus.
Privacy is just one aspect but really there are lots of things we have to deal with. AI , CRISPR deep fakes , biotagging etc.
